Will be instructive to see if they start adding more hulls, or if this class is intended as an incremental transition to another design (054C?). I'm hoping for the latter myself, especially w.r.t. improved propulsion. CODLAG would be nice.
That's a bit weird photoshop job for the magazine cover, or perhaps they just used a stitched satellite image without much care to check it. Because one whole row of VLS cells is mostly missing.
I wouldn't say the gun grew on me but what I will say is after all this time I've kind of learned to kind of ignore it and it's also much less of an eyesore now compared to when the ship was first revealed.
Combared to 054A , is the 054B more leaning tward the Anti Air ? Anti submarine ? is it mainly an enhancement to a perticular capability of 054A it is more of a genral update and improvement ?
