On February 1st, 569 officially got commissioned into the SSF as YuLin Not much else, I think Mao's article articulated similar stuff.

2月1日上午，海军南海舰队某驱逐舰支队举行隆重的交舰暨命名仪式，国产最新型导弹护卫舰569舰正式交舰并命名为“玉林舰”，正式加入人民海军序列。南海舰队副司令员侯月喜等部队首长，市委书记、市人大常委会主任、玉林军分区党委第一书记金湘军，市委常委、玉林军分区司令员徐和祥，市委常委、常务副市长戴毅，副市长满昌学等出席交舰命名仪式。

侯月喜为“玉林舰”颁发命名证书、授军旗。他说，“玉林舰”的交舰命名，进一步密切了军队与玉林市的友谊，希望双方携起手来，同呼吸、共命运、心连心，进一步密切军政军民关系，开创双拥工作的新局面，为巩固国防、共建和谐社会作出更大的贡献。相信 “玉林舰”的全体官兵，落实革命化、现代化、正规化建设的要求，不断提高人员素质、技术保障、科学管理等水平，促进新装备形成战斗力，完成党和人民赋予的各项任务。

金湘军在致辞中代表市四家班子和全市人民对“玉林舰”的交舰和命名表示热烈祝贺。他说，南海舰队麾下的新型导弹护卫舰以“玉林舰”命名，是玉林和玉林人民的光荣和自豪。玉林素有拥军优属、拥政爱民的光荣传统，近年来先后荣获“全国双拥模范城”、“全国爱国拥军模范单位”和“自治区双拥模范城”等荣誉称号。今年是玉林再创“全国双拥模范城”的关键一年。这次“玉林舰”的正式命名，在舰队部队和玉林人民之间架起了一座友谊的桥梁，为玉林双拥工作开辟了新平台、增添了新活力。我们将以此为新的起点，发扬拥军优属的优良传统，把双拥作为一个品牌来打造、作为一项事业来推进、作为一种文化来培育，进一步密切与舰队官兵的鱼水情谊，进一步加强与舰队的合作共建，进一步激发玉林人民爱国拥军的热情，为建设强大的国防、为完成祖国统一大业，尽心尽力、尽职尽责。

戴毅代表市委、市政府向“玉林舰”赠送慰问金。“玉林舰”领导向我市赠送纪念品。“玉林舰”舰长代表全舰官兵表决心说，一定高举旗帜、听党指挥，真抓实干，从严治训，以优异的成绩向玉林人民报喜。

interesting,the HD 4th 054a at outside of the yard drydock but not completed, why this time is diferent? why the mast finished paint first?
maybe the drydock is full now?

Saw this in Jane's: "The construction of hull 6 at Hudong Shipyard was briefly delayed by the collapse of a crane in 2008". Could be that they are just now catching up from the backlog?

For the Jane's report, does have such a possibility.however, HD is really busy, their shipbuilding orders, scheduled is very tight. here is some one in the forum showed HD shipbuiding order list:

　　2月1日，沪东中华造船（集团）有限公司为意大利里佐-博蒂格利尔-迪卡里尼（RBD）航运公司建造的8.7万吨超巴拿马型散货船“朱塞佩•毛罗•里佐 ”号交付。当日，该公司还开建1艘8.7万吨超巴拿马型散货船和1艘1.73万吨多用途货船。至此，沪东中华自年初以来已交付4艘船、开工4艘船，实现了新年“开门红”。
　　2月1日交付的“朱塞佩•毛罗•里佐”号是RBD公司在沪东中华订造的4艘8.7万吨散货船中的第一艘。该公司是一家有着 160多年历史的家族企业。在全球金融危机阴霾未散的大背景下，该公司坚信能在中国发现新的商机。该公司先后在中国和日本订造了20艘船，其中在沪东中华订造了8.7万吨散货船和11万吨原油船各4艘。
　　此前的1月份，沪东中华交付了1艘8.7万吨散货船、2艘11万吨原油船，开工了1艘2万吨重吊船、1艘1.73万吨多用途货船。

well, China already make 8 of those 054A. now is time to stop that move on to something else. You don't want to keep making stuffs that you already know, instead should start to make something new.


like a new SSGN, new destroyer, anti-sub copters, a new strategic bomber, of course carrier.


China is not going to war, it doesn't need that many 054A, insead it should expand its design and manufacturing capability in terms of making new stuffs.

integration of new vessels changes the doctrines of operation and it takes time. must wait years before moving to a new generation of ships.
