054/A FFG Thread II

couple of set of photos. The first ones show HH-16 VLS from 054A (really nice clear photos).
The second ones show the top plate radar being installed on the 3rd 054A under construction in HD. Honestly, it looks like it's ready to be launched soon, since they have already started to install sensors on there. I really have to pay my respects to HD who is finally moving faster than I originally gave them credit for.

more pictures of 054A from HD shipyard. Looking like the sensors on the foremast are mostly installed now. I think this will probably be ready for launch by May at the latest.

It looks like it's going to be ready to launch very soon, like maybe in a week, I don't know, but the sensors are all installed now, the progress on the 3rd 054A from HD has really been very extraordinary.

They seem to be, what we call, "in the groove". In other words, they have the fabrication/ship building of this frigate worked out.

The real interesting thing to me is whether at the two site there are going to be more following and if the PLAN is now going to build quite a few of these very capable FFGs.

4 commissioned, 1 launched, 1 almost launched and I am guessing probably 2 more of 054A variant before they move to 054B. It really looks like they are trying to replace 053 with 054 on a one to one basis.
