Dalian building giant cats to hunt USN submarines in the Pacific now? /sAn update on the latest batch at Dalian shipyard.
Pakistan, Algeria and Nigeria could become prospective customers for the Type 052DE destroyers. Especially with the introduction of YJ-21E, which would suit the needs of the Pakistani Navy very well.

Interesting rendering coming from such an official source. 052Ds have 5 frontal windows and this one has six; 055 style chaff launchers; and possibly new shape for mast? My bet is this is probably what the new batch of 052D currently being built would look like. Also this new PJ38 looks much nicer imo.

The image is too blur to determine what these 2 objects are, may or may not be the H/PJ-17 30mm auto-cannon.
The 30mm auto-cannon (not CIWS 1130, but the one similar to that on type 056) should not be considered as a CIWS due to its suspected ineffectiveness on anti-ship cruise missiles. However, it will be effective against small hostile boats and suicide drone boats.
