with 25th x Type 052D coming we have this
thats exactly 8 years since 1st x Type 052D was launched in 30th August 2012 I remember it well like yesterday
exactly 8 years on JNCX and DL have been pumping hard
18 x Type 052D/L from JNCX
and 9 x Type 052D/L from DL
thats a combined rate of over 3 units per year
what a production run, a unbelievable 8 x Type 052D being launched in 2019 alone yes thats 8 units

Are they serious about that pennant? The numbers look fake to me.

Retirement of Luda 165 Zhanjiang and 166 Zhuhai frees their names and pennants for future Type 052DL.
Maybe this pic means there will be future 052DL named after Zhanjiang and Zhuhai. Note, that such destroyers will exceed the 25 ships we currently have for all 052D production.
