I think China is in good shape now
looking into the future for VLS count in a few years time
FFG 30 x 32 = 960
DDG 48 x 6 = 288
DDG 64 x 24 = 1536
CG 112 x 8 = 896
thats 3680 missiles rough estimate since the older refitted units have not been taken into account
thats approximately 1/3 of USN
Capability of each vls is different ... The vls on ffg can only operate for SAM systems..
We are still not sure whether each uvls on type 052d and type 055 are of same length or not ( 9m,7m?) limiting their usage to a single category of missile. Each vls on AB class and Ticos are however standard Mk41. So each can carry a SAM/anti ship missile(also quad pack).
Comparing raw number of vls seems kind of obtuse since USN ships are optimized for their own class of contingencies.
You could liewise compare type 022 (83x8) 664 missiles to the ohio ssgn (7x22 x 4 ships) 616 missiles, but it doesnt make much sense..
