I think the PLAN has already learned that reloading VLS at sea isn't worth the space or weight of a crane.

Iron Man SinoSoldier

IIRC i have see 052C can have a crane ? which allow reloading for S-300FM/SA-N-20 DDG 051C also ? still curious with such big missiles especialy long 7,5 m ?

S-300FM/SA-N-20 is ABM as S-300PMU-1/2 up to 40 km vs aerial targets 150 km use 48N6 missile.

For 052C/D : HHQ-9 do 6,8 x 0,45 m 1.3 tons range at less 125 km some says 150 ?
and for 051C : S-300FM/SA-N-20 dop 7.5 x 0,52 m 1.8 tons range 150 km.

Please questions :
HHQ-9A exist or is a HHQ-9 ? and eventuals difference.*
HHQ-9B with a range of 200 km ? vs 125 -150 can be more big ? used only by 052D ?

But i see land variant to 200 km upgraded ? this range do a difference with navals variants... normaly same size in this case why canister matters ?

Watch this over and over again... to be frank, I was touched and am amazed at the support PLA 81 Studio gave in this film!

Enjoy (again)!

Imagine when 26 of 052D in service with PLAN together with 6 052C/++ and 32 054A/++ and 18 055/A and 20 SSN 093/95 and 6 CBGs, etc, etc... by 2030/2035

Just wowww ... will be the second best Navy in the world (already is actually) by big margin after the US Navy

6 CBGs by 2035 is a not a realistic expectation IMO. 4 is more reasonable, maybe 5 if the PLAN is in a real hurry.

Captain
I would be surprised if China only had four carriers by 2035. I think 5 or 6 is more likely.

CV-16: In service
CV-17: 2019 (2019-20)
CV-18: 2023 (2022-25)
CV-19: 2026 (2025-28)
CVN-20: 2030 (2028-31)
CVN-21: 2033 (2031-35)
CVN-22: 2037 (2035-2039)
CVN-23: 2041 (replaces CV-16)
CVN-24: 2045
CVN-25: 2050 (replaces CV-17)

*construction schedule continues with one new carrier every ~5 years*
