052C/052D Class Destroyers

I actually also wrote that the 054A might offer a good example of the launch-to-commission curve over time, but I took that out last minute, as I think that it might only be good as a real world example to demonstrate a textbook theoretical. It may not actually be that great of a predictor for future types like the 052D or 055, because I do not expect those two classes to be built in anything like the number of the 054A, so will probably not match the curve of the 054A very well.

Yes, though even a 12 strong production run of 052D may match 054A's commissioning curve up to its similar number of ships...

And hehe, there have been also some relatively unsubstantiated rumours that we may end up seeing a final run of 24 052Ds... and even possibly eventually a similar number of 055s produced in the long term -- though obviously that must be taken with generous heapings of salt.

that the Destroyer's crew was in training. Hefei is set to be the first Type 052D to be belong to the PLAN East Sea Fleet.

Could you specify which part of the document you think is speaking of the ESF receiving a new destroyer?
I've briefly skimmed over the bulletin and I don't spot anything obvious regarding it, but my Chinese isn't that great. There's a big part talking about ships of ESF conducting training, but that seems to be in relation to ships that are already in commission (DDG152 among others)

It also mentions nothing about Hefei that I can see...

well, they are moving destroyers between the fleets, so it could just be receiving a new destroyer from another flotilla.

When the Chinese navy move ships between fleets, do the crews move with the ships, do the crews rotate out of the departing ship and get assigned as a body to a other ships in the same fleet, or do the crews get broken up and the personnel get reassigned individually to different postings?

Also, when the ships are in port, do the crews live in barracks on land, or do they comtinue to live aboard their assigned ships?

Is the manning arrangement in the Chinese navy base on one ship, one crew? Or are there more ships in commission than crews, and the crews gets assigned to whichever ship is actually scheduled to sortie? Or there are more than one crew for each ship in commission, and the crews are assigned to ships in rotation, to allow the ships to maintain higher tempo of sorties without wearing out the crew?
