You got the facts wrong. The theory that you and the other fellow seem to like is just your imagination.

Anyone with the basic knowledge of Chinese naval history will know that China's has preferred the 3-fleets structure since the late 19th century.

In comparison, 112's AD set up is pretty close to that of F-22P now, because it has the HHQ-7 in front and two Type 730s at back. However, when Type 730 has onboard sensors + input from SR-64, it really has less need to be side by side. Just look at Type 730's responsibilities on 052B/C.

That's why I find this interesting on 052. We will see how it all works out.

No time-lines were given as to when or how CCP divided the fleet.

Actually, the history portion of the PLAN in the official DVD had very little information on time-lines. However, important naval events had time-lines that were emphasised (1st long range naval deployment, 1st deployment for satellite tracking, 1st Antarctic deployment, etc).
