Ah That 130mm gun is finally here. and the new APAR.

to recap,
052C will have x6, two in SCS 170, 171 + 4 new built at jiangnan
starting on what originally thought was #7 will be a new subclass. with New VLS APAR and 130 gun etc.

The gun turret shape looks different than current 052C. It looks more boxy and taller.

Any chance they will switch over to the box type VLS found on 054As?

Well I don't know if this is the reason. I believe those destroyers use a CODOG arrangement with two diesels and two GT's, whereas other large destroyers use a COGAG arrangement with 4 GT's. China's QC280 or whatever it's called supposedly has a higher output than the original engines used on the Flight I AB's, which were already at 8,000+ tons. China could just start using a COGAG setup for its ships, much more energy-inefficient, but much more power at the same time.

The back space is quite limited. How can it be front 32 and back 32?

Probably front 54, back 16.
