According to the US military, it will shock the submarine without crew, armed with a thermonuclear warhead capacity "in the tens of megatons," the ability to quickly and discreetly travel long distances.

- The United States is very closely monitoring the efforts of the Russian nuclear modernization. However, these works are not particularly worried, are still under the Treaty on Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms, - the former head of the US Strategic Command, Robert Koehler.

are actively conducted in the United States. Pentagon attaches particular importance to this research.

Recall that in late August, the US military experts have expressed concern about the appearance at the Russian submarine with a great fighting potential but uncertain destiny. It's about "Moscow", nuclear submarines withdrawn from shops shipyard "Star" after the upgrade.

During the reconstruction of the strategic submarine turned into a base for a mini-submarine. The submarine received a compartment filled with equipment for underwater operations and docking port on the bottom.

"For what purpose was created Whatever the submarine, it could become what American observers are not even able to imagine" - says military analyst David Ex.

Sqn Ldr Jim Calvert of II (AC) Squadron, who flew one of the two intercepting Typhoons, said: "Given the Royal Air Force’s enduring commitment to secure the UK’s skies, yesterday’s sortie once again proved Typhoon’s capability to successfully scramble and intercept Russian long-range aviation.

"Protecting our skies is especially poignant in this 75th anniversary year of the Battle of Britain. Working together with ground-based radar and air-to-air refuelling aircraft today’s RAF continues to come together as a team to protect our country."

Voyager air-to-air tankers were launched from RAF Brize Norton during the scramble to refuel the Typhoons.

The Tupolev Tu-160 long range strategic bomber is known by the Nato codename of Blackjack, but is known to its pilots as White Swan.

The supersonic bomber is the largest combat aircraft in the world. It was the last strategic bomber designed for the Soviet Union and entered service in 1987.

It can carry both nuclear and conventional weapons including long-range missiles.

Medvedev, when he was president, sought accommodation with the West and therefore decided to acquire Mistrals and their technology from France. After this episode Russia will look for shipbuilding technology in China. Very soon Chinese warship building technology will far exceed that of France also for the classes of larger ships. So a Russian flattop ready by 2030 is not at all impossible.

I don't know whether "Very soon Chinese warship building technology will far exceed that of France", I don't see that happening before 2025. French warship building technology (including subs) are very advanced.

Depends on what exactly is meant by 'warship building technology'. Are they talking infrastructure, warship design, subsystems, weapon systems or what?

Chinese shipyards can definitely build more and at a faster rate but in terms of say radars I would most certainly give the edge to companies like Thales for example.

But on a much smaller scale than that of China. Remember how difficult it was to get CdG working.
