This TT ban is turning out to be more historically significant than Ping Pong Diplomacy. First it was ironical, then it became hilarious, now it is going to be historical in a few dimensions. Some of them are suspicious that U.S. government did some Pet Semetary shit to TikTok and that the new algorithm conforms to neoliberal talk points.

Just the opposite.
If a war over Taiwan was fought without US intervention, then it is definitely the collapse of US hegemony.
If a war over Taiwan was fought with US intervention with heavy losses, US power projection will collapse and lead to global uncertainty
If Taiwan was sold out, US can at least say, keeping me in the picture will keep China honest
So the US's best interest is to maintain the status quo or somehow goad China into a war (like it did with Russia/Ukraine), and somehow inflict massive losses without any of its own (again, similar to Ukraine)

And while there will initial shock, it will be basically accepted without issue. After all Taiwan isn't part of USA anyway and in most people's eyes they can't be bothered to really see Taiwan as significantly different from China anyway.

Honestly, "american normies" that are on tik tok would probably have a much lower view of the US (and you know who that share remain nameless) even more if they were expose to the all the retarded us nationalist / gov idiots / think tankies / grifters / tech bros/ oligarchs gaslighting them on X.

This lady echoes my sentiments; I feel a mix of schadenfreude at the breakdown of many white Americans at seeing that they were lied to, vindication and justified anger that so many Chinese and other asians were bullied, persecuted and even murdered by Anglos and westerners.
I still believe the only worthy recompense is the territories of the five eyes.
