For someone who wants to “wind down the narrative” they instead hopped onto the band wagon. I do wonder why they are so fixated on 2027 (or 2025).

And what serious actions has the Taiwanese rebels taken other than begging, prodding the U.S. to supply them with weaponry and armaments wholly inadequate to face the juggernaut that's about to be unleashed against these separatists if they even actually dare to declare independence.

Have the military revamped the training that fully appreciates, anticipates the hardships, difficulties and scale of PLA attack on the province? has the current ruling DPP increased the funding for the military in a really meaningful way in terms of increasing the number of military personnel that can blunt the oncoming salvos of an all out attack from China? Are the residents of Taiwan been fully and wholly informed that Taiwan as they know it will cease to exists since the province and Taipei will be reduced to rubble as an unfortunate casualty to the brutality and lethality of modern conflict? or are they simply deluding themselves that uncle Sam along with EU plus Japan, SK, and according to some the PH coming to their rescue?

Joseph Wu deserves to be placed in prison and be hung upside down for the level of treachery this guy has been unleashing with his big fat mouth without any sense of care to the very land he and his cohorts professed to love and cherish.

Has there ever been a more parasitic government than the Kiev regime?!

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrij Melnyk calculated how much money Ukraine needs - all partners should give 1% of their GDP: "Ukraine needs 10 times as much supplies to win the war".

Ukraine orders British оil and gas giant Shell donate more than $1 billion in unexpected profits from the potential sale of its assets in Russia. Ukraine normalizes robbery by extorting cash under threat of placement on war supporter list. "Energy firm has a moral duty to donate surprise wartime windfall, Kyiv says."

All I can say to that is a massive LOSER for Ukrainian government.

Play stupid games (Taiwanese rebels egging for independence) win stupid prizes --- hollowing out of TSMC and now bitching to their master like Uncle Wong to tone down anti-China rhetoric and actions.

Taiwanese rebels: we are not Chinese, we are more like Japanese.
MAGAs: what's the difference again? Oh wait I get it. Ninjas and Samurai are Chinese and Kungfu is Japanese.

Remember when the term "4th Industrial Revolution" was first bantered about, they said China would not be able to compete? I think they said South Korea and Germany were going to first winners of the 4th Industrial Revolution. China is the only game in town.
Germany and Korea a are beneficiaries of previous globalization. and Both US and Soviets treated post war Germans with kids glove. i don't think they will withstand deglobalization let alone thrive.
I looked at the Seagull its fine for city driving but it has short wheel base, taller height and since EV are heavier they take much bigger wheel/tire combo. i am not sure it will be refine for long drives with probably more range reduction at higher speeds. The 250 mile range version is $14000. This is good starting price for some one need a vehicle with warranty but this is price in China. The price can easily go up if manufactured or exported to another country that will put in price range of larger hybrid ICE vehicle with even longer battery warranty.
Latest Corolla can make to 600 mile range and the price is well with in the mid income of US.

We mentioned the 52 mpg, right? During the course of 200 miles of tooling around Dallas for a week, we easily achieved that figure, which theoretically delivers nearly 600 miles of range per fill-up. We drove the 2022 Toyota Corolla Hybrid normally, too, squirting in and out of traffic like we needed to get someplace; oh, and there was a heatwave, so we blasted the A/C to combat average daytime temps hovering past 100 degrees
This is no penalty box, either. With its relatively small-diameter wheels (15-inchers!) and soft suspension tuning, the 2022 Toyota Corolla Hybrid rolls quietly and smoothly over even the worst city streets.

Ukraine was quite successful at forcing companies and European governments to comply with their demands using moralism. But now the war is old news so they can't do that nowadays.

The entire ruling elite of Taiwan province should be lined up and shot.

The difference is PLA will show some mercy to fellow Chinese and go the extra mile on the Japanese. So I'm glad the rebels want to be Japanese , hope the wear the headband and everything, easier to identify and pulverize.

Because "War is a Racket":

Weapons industry-funded think tank helps Congress discover that Taiwan needs way more weapons.

The House of Representatives’ Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party decided to roleplay as generals in a war game simulating a PRC attack on Taiwan. The war game was facilitated by the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) think tank, whose top donors include war industry giants Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Boeing, as well as the US Department of Defense and the de facto embassy of Taiwan.

Now this is going to surprise you and astonish you and take you aback, but believe it or not the war game conducted by the weapons industry-funded think tank has revealed that Taiwan is going to need a lot more weapons.

“We are well within the window of maximum danger for a Chinese Communist Party invasion of Taiwan, and yesterday’s war game stressed the need to take action to deter CCP aggression and arm Taiwan to the teeth before any crisis begins,” said the incredibly hawkish chairman of the Select Committee Mike Gallagher in a statement.

Another thing that’s going to shock and astonish and surprise you (and you might want to sit down for this one) is that none of the reporting on this war game from the political/media class has made any mention of the immense conflict of interest that the Center for a New American Security would necessarily have in this war game. Articles by Reuters, The Hill and The National Review ominously informing their audiences of the grave findings of the war game have made precisely zero mention of the think tank’s funders, giving the impression that these are just impartial foreign policy experts and not indirect employees of the war profiteering industry.

As I never tire of reminding my readers, this is journalistic malpractice. It is never legitimate to mention war machine-funded think tanks promoting more war and militarism without also informing readers of their obvious conflict of interest in the matter.

On the other hand, Taiwanese policymakers better not to make a self-fulfilling prophecy:

English vegetable gets what any childless narcissist wants - to be in the history books. Too bad, it’ll be in the history books as one of the worst traitors and villains of Chinese history along with Wu SanGui and An Lushan. Or maybe not, she and Taiwan will just be a footnote in the history of the CPC.

Now that india‘s supposedly got more mouths with feet inside it than China, it’s struggling with trying to find work and money for them all. This is from an application to work for the police, supposedly a sweet gig where they can get bribes and not work so hard.

yeah, good luck with that, it really reveals the gargantuan effort the CPC did in finding work for all of its citizens.
