No, there is no benefit to forcing people into the Chinese system overnight and risk unintended consequence of people rebelling. The entire point of getting Taiwan is to crack open the 1st island chain.

So I was watching Fareed Zakaria's CNN show over the weekend and he was talking about the ICC warrant on Putin. It was because Putin was stealing white children from Ukraine to replace Russian KIA. They liken it to what Hitler did during WWII where Hitler brainwashed children he kidnapped to the point they didn't identify themselves as a citizen of their country of origin. The thing is the West has been doing this at least for the last 150 years. The only difference is it's only a crime when you steal white children except when Australia was doing it during the Cold War kidnapping white children from Great Britain because they were paranoid of a Chinese invasion and needed more white people.
What's the difference when Canada kidnapped native children hoping to wage cultural genocide among native populations to where reports of mass graves of native children around historic Christian schools where these killing fields took place. What's the difference when when Christian churches go to warzones especially wars where Americans are involved and come back with trophy children from those countries? What's the difference when a Nashville foster family decided they were going to keep a Chinese national girl they were caring for after her father was falsely accused of sex crimes while going to school in the US. Then years later the girl was brainwashed where she rather be identified as Mexican because she was shamed for being Chinese by her foster care family. And in all these cases, they thought they were doing what's best for these children just like what Hitler thought of what he was doing. Of course these weren't white children so they thought they were automatically actually doing good hence why it's a high crime of the highest order when it's done to white children... except when Australia does it.
The ICC put an arrest warrant on Putin purely because they didn't want Xi to go to Moscow hoping to prevent a Sino-Russian alliance. If you've noticed on the news now, it's all about how Russia is screwed and is only a puppet of China now. They're working all angles to keep the two countries separated.

That’s a very childish way of sowing dissent. Decision makers know what is actually good for the country and make the moves accordingly.
they don't want the Hong Kong 1C2S? They don't want 1C1S? OK. there's a very simple alternative 1C2S system that has historically been used, and they're not going to like it, but it has been proven to work in millennia of both Chinese and European history: winner takes all.
