We know recruitment has been tough for the US military for a while now.

But man it got even worst. Will the Army ditch the test soon as well?

Navy eradicates fitness test failures in campaign to improve retention​


Sailors with a physical fitness assessment failure on their record will receive a clean slate that will allow them to remain in the service, under a new Navy policy unveiled Thursday.

The shift is part of a Navy-wide campaign aimed at improving accessions, retention and attrition so the service can hit its end-strength goals for 2023, according to Rear Adm. James Waters III, director of military personnel, plans and policy.

“This is connected because it clearly affects attrition, right? It will reduce attrition if we do not separate sailors based on past PFA failures,” Waters told reporters Wednesday. “But it came about through all of the analysis for this campaign plan, through a recognition that we don’t want to punish sailors because gyms were closed during the pandemic. We don’t want to disadvantage sailors.”

In December 2022, excess mortality continued to vary across the EU. Romania (-5.5 %) and Bulgaria (-6.0 %) recorded values lower than the national monthly average for 2016-19, while Malta (9.7 %), Spain (9.6 %), Luxembourg (9.5 %) and Hungary (2.8 %) had excess mortality rates less than half the EU average. Conversely, the highest rate was recorded in Germany (37.3 %). Other countries with rates over 20 % were Austria (27.4 %), Slovenia (25.9 %), Ireland (25.4 %), France (24.5 %), Czechia (23.2 %), the Netherlands (22.7 %), Estonia (22.6 %), Denmark (22.4 %), Finland (21.1 %) and Lithuania (20.6 %).

add Ukraine EU funding. than you add various demands from French/Poland about funding new weopon projects or reparation on top of buying US weopons than add expensive energy to the mix. any energy or raw material that is depended on Germanic engineering anywhere will become more expensive. Germany will export inflation.
