Distraction, smokescreen, and useless rhetoric. The West just never accepts responsibilities.

We'll see whether they can find their spine and their brain. As things stand they are firmly liberal, part of the "mUh dEMocRaseee" and fervently dislike China for many reasons (some fear and distrust is well founded or at the very least, understandable). The thing is they do not believe they are at risk. When you don't understand the situation accurately, you cannot be trusted to make those rational decisions. So to answer your question, they would be thinking "what nukes? what threats?". Decision makers may know a bit better but we'll see how firmly in US pockets they really are.
Just one example from a military angle, Japan's 2022 defense white paper seem to hype China up a lot as a threat on the surface but then, if I recall correctly, stated China only has ~50 J-20s and like 180 J-16s.

How come there's no "affirmative action" program for Asians in sports in America to ensure "equity" and "diversity" of the population reflecting the supposed population of America.

When it comes to Academic/University in the U.S. the affirmative action must remain in place to help and assist "disadvantage" groups like blacks/Hispanics (as if they're handicapped and deficient when it comes to their intelligence).

Here is the lawyer representing Harvard and other University is being pressed and twisted like a Pretzel in justifying why Asian applicants are graded low when it comes to "integrity, character etc...against any other races.

Mid Terms are in 2 days. Get some snacks and watch the river of tears happen on social media. If the polls are remotely accurate then it’s going to be a landslide. Attacking China will probably be the focal point in 2024.

I imagine @9dashline is probably twitching on the ground over his excitement with EROI after the UAE comment.
This statement was made in context of lack of investment and energy transition. if West industrial chains shift to non-oil industry. Arabs simply cannot maintain there oil production.

Sultan al-Jaber, the CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Co., forecast that the world would need 30% more energy supplies by 2050 and that zeroing out hydrocarbon investments would lead to a 5 million b/d annual decline in crude production capacity due to natural declines.

Hochstein, however, said there was no conflict between the Biden administration's call for more oil supplies, while prioritizing the energy transition

I guess the UK can actually protect them because China would find it too distasteful and inhumane to even attack the "Royal Navy". Would be more honorable to beat up a geriatric quadriplegic.

So they can hide behind one of the Elizabeth class cope carriers cuz China probably wouldn't want to slaughter a bunch of defenceless angloids and pollute the East China Sea with a wreck that ugly.

Western PR again.

Its just a co-logistics deal. Although it is not insignificant, I dont think there is a need to overreact. AFAIK Japan has the same deal with the US already.
isn't this the way they begin to form a nato-style agreement though? you start small and then increase its scope afterwards
