I think you are just reading too much western propagandist accounts. There is no reason why China would mention Ukraine specifically during an SCO side meeting, the other former soviet states would be scared shitless if China said that.

The central line from the Chinese readout is
President Xi emphasized that China will work with Russia to extend strong mutual support on issues concerning each other’s core interests, and deepen practical cooperation in trade, agriculture, connectivity and other areas.

Yes, China sells American gas to Europe. China can do that only because China increased Russian gas import which makes extra gas that China must and can sell. China herself has no gas to spare as she is a pure importer. China is only passing on the commodity.

The 20 year contracts that US signed with China means that US have to export to China even though China got more Russian gas. Increasing capacity is not something can be done in short notice. While China have to buy American gas therefor must find new buyers which is Europe. I think right now, US may wish to cancel those contracts to save Europe, but China may not want to give up the profit nor give Europe the strength. The beggar has no power to bargain.

Here Bloomberg blames China exploiting Europe with American gas.

look at OPEC+ it is easy to understand. Arabs are one of the biggest buyers of US arms industry spanning decades and that include indirect funding of Israeli and Turkish F-16s.
Emptying current stockpile of Nato weopons quickly will create demand for more newer expensive weopons. so the war need to conducted in such way that hit weopon stockpiles.
