It is the respondents that thinks China and Russian negatively and thinking of US very positively, not the Iranian government. Why would China and Russia not trust Iranian government?

The right conclusion should be never trust those portion of Iranian people.
Yeah the survey might be very flawed. It's hard to trust the result. Not saying all Iranians are positive to china but a sizable portion. If you search videos of chinese tourists visiting Iran they are warmly treated. And they are Chinese speaking Iranians including a tour guide quite famous on Chinese internet as video blogger.

It might be because the answer in the survey was responding to question about cultural influence. Then I will safely assume Hollywood and American pop music etc have a far bigger hold there and many parts of the world unfortunately.

OK I found this YT video which is shot about yr ago. The Chinese speaking Iranian tour guide and vblogger mentions some reason why western influence is still strong there and why China isn't that strong. Think she listed the lack of familiarity with China and Chinese culture, basically among Iranian youth, china is an unknown. Also Chinese language isnt popular and not many study it.

Also mentioned western worship. Same shit. Moon is brighter on the other side. Grass is greener etc. Think wealth mean more civilised etc.
Quite surprising many Iranians use instagram. Obviously these American social media influenced young generation.

Didn't finish watching yet. But judging from comments her presentation is well thought out and reasoned. Worth a look.

Also mentioned that even though both countries governments are friendly, at the ordinary commoner level, there is really lack of interaction and therefore understanding. Many of the Iranian citizens basically get their info from TV and media. So not that much on China. The world media is still dominated by West.

Why would you ever base your views on how people treat tourists in person? For one, most Iranians are happy about any tourists because they're so few due to sanctions so it helps their economy, two, most people in general will be nice to you in person even if they're racist towards your people and three, they know they're being recorded on video so they're going to be on their best behavior.

Also, if the survey is based on cultural influence, why is Russia's, Pakistan's, South Korea's and Japan's answers in particular and everyone else's in general, typical of what you see in every other like/dislike survey. Russia has a -40% perception of America and +65% perception of China in that survey. Do you honestly believe China has that much greater cultural influence than America in Russia? Where Instagram and Facebook reign supreme and everyone in Moscow knows who Kanye West and Elon Musk is and no one can name a single Chinese person outside Xi Jinping? This is a general like/dislike survey.

If you follow Iranians around social media for a period of time, every time China is brought up, it's almost always negative from my experience. Everything from Chinese are all dirty, disgusting people to Chinese only make cheap stuff that breaks. I've been doing this for a while because of interest in how a country's people deal with heavy sanctions. You can say, it's due to heavy influence with Western social media presence there/Western worship, but I ask, why is Pakistan and Russia so positive towards China?

If it’s true then that is amusing.

Neither of the articles mentioned where the interception occurred. Since China does not have direct access to the Sea of Japan, so my guess is that it occurred off the western (Yellow Sea) coast of N Koreas (see map below, with area circled in red).

Do note that this area is right next to China's inland water Bohai, including the city of Dalian, a very sensitive naval area where many sea trails of new surface warships and submarines are conducted.

Further more, the Canadian aircraft involved is the CP-140, Canada's strategic Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft, which both article gave it a a very innocent sounding name "Long Range Patrol Aircraft".

In the location is indeed in the Yellow Sea, China is basically telling Canada, and everyone else, to stay out and not to conduct electronic surveillance in my coastal region.

The CP-140 Aurora is very similar externally to the Lockheed P-3C Orion (Canadian ESM wingtip pods instead of the American ESM wing pod), but is different internally, using two sets of mission systems that were first installed in yet another Lockheed anti-submarine warfare aircraft, the carrier-based S-3A Viking.
