Well, they also convinced 1.4 billion people that US is a problem - an existential threat to the Chinese nation.
Probably did that to the 1 billion muslims the previous decade too.
Convinced the redditors, the terminally online, armchair generals and political no-lifers. Common people and voters don't care about foreign policy, or whatever is an "existential threat" to their country, they're more concern on whether they can keep their job, pay for grocery, fuel and rent, and afford healthcare.
Its a waste of time to "convince" the masses as there's little to no material benefit in doing so, and in some cases its actually negative like rising anti-Asian hate crimes, making anything related to that target country toxic and political, which eventually turns into a new red-scare environment in their political and social landscape, like we see with Republicans calling the Democrat administration a bunch of Beijing puppets.
I'd even argue that they would have more strategic freedom if they didn't hype up the China threat and make anti-China environment, because now they'll have to go through all the political theatrics to pass and drop any bill related to China. Look at how many times the Republicans shot down Biden's infrastructure and funding bills because "muh Chyna", and now with the issue of dropping tariff against China.
These people want to start a fight with China over some random human rights bullshit that has been made up oh so many times in the past and ended up killing millions of innocent people over essentially nothing in past wars that they start and then they start crying a right when the same happens to them in a high school in a situation that could’ve been avoided if the USA did the right thing and focussed on governing the nation properly. Since these shootings have happened many times and the same ‘thoughts and prayer’ shit comes up with no change whatsoever, I am sorry to say this, but in the past I might have had sympathy but now all I can say is that the only way that the USA can ever get the hint is if a incident happens that kills thousands of these kids I order for the American consciousness to finally feel something other then cold indifference and I am fair certain that will still attract no attempts to change. I wonder if a purge is the only way for the Americans to finally start seeing the writing On the wall and even then I am certain that the USA will fail even then. Hence it will probably best if the USA quickly destroys itself to say the world the trouble of dealing with this two faced crazy nation
Man does he know how to cry, both him, Nuland, Bannon and Bolton have one thing in common, they all hate Russia and China and are doing everything they can to destroy those nations at all cost. In the end, matter what gains they might have made, ultimately comes to nothing anyway and to add insult to injury, all that energy could’ve gone into making the USA a nation that can outshine China and Russia but no, they choose hatred and as a result may have ended up hastening the destruction of the very nation they claim God has blessed. I believe when the grim reaper comes for them, they will almost be begging for his appearance given that on the day the usa goes and becomes a forever purge/mad max scenario, will be the day that both China and Russia will finally rise above the USA at long last and that there hate filled actions have actually sped up their recover and raised them to new heights.
