The only problem with your assumption is that it is the West that is being isolated here from the other 7 billion inhabitants of this world, unless you are completely unaware of recent actions by India, Pakistan, Iran, Gulf States, and many African nations. Hell, even Latin American nations in America's backyard has refused to follow the West in the current crisis.

Just have a look at this Asian map it tells a good story as how we view the nations of the east.

With so many foreign volunteer signing up to fight for or against Russia in past couple of days, what are the chances of Chinese nationals volunteer sneaking in to fight on behalf of Russia ? Would Russia pack them home or just allow them to fight? How would media spin it ?

There are more reports coming out today that the Russians are failing to make any significant progress towards encircling Kiev. At this point, I doubt they will ever take it. To me it seems like their best bets now are in the south and the east. The northern front was kind of a total disaster.

A war does not end when the military is defeated. He then moves on to the next phase. Then the Russian army fights against Ukrainian civilians/partisans.

If the civilians are fighting like the Ukrainian government want them to do... they are defeated at the same time than the military.

The only thing left are partisans , that will take these civilians wifes when they will return and the rubbles of their homes where Russian will build theirs.

Even attempting to take it is/was foolish. Kiev's best purpose serves to ensure that Ukrainian troops are tied down defending it from possible attack or encirclement, while Russia undertakes its main operations in the South and East.
