All those "international" sportbodies have their headquarters in Europe or Murica. While sport is far from the most important realm in politics but nonethless this is also a part of western global hegemony.
This guy is infamous in India for being a hardcore Modi fan. And a raging Jai hind type. Best not to quote him.

Since numerous NATO countries have cleared their citizens to join the fight in Ukraine, what happens to them when they get capture? Does the POW rule of Geneva convention applies to those foreign volunteers?

I know Geneva convention doesn't apply to mercenaries as they are not recognized as legitimate combatants. But foreign citizens that volunteered are not exactly contracted mercenaries though. Are they going to be imprisoned in Russia after the war?
Kill them all or much better made into fertilizer. Why feed these foreign mercenaries if captured? They are just adding more fuel to fire. Not resolving anything.

Has anyone seen any reports as to the location(s) from which the majority of Russia’s air-strikes are being launched?

The Russian army is about to capture the biggest nuclear power plant in Europe. In the Ukrainian city of Energodar, Zaporozhye region, residents blocked roads to the city to save the nuclear plant, but the mayor gave orders for everyone to return to their homes.
The Russian army enters Energodar in the Zaporozhye region

Russian tanks T-72B3 and T-72B3M with "visors" pass through the checkpoint of the "terrodefense" forces and activists supporting them in Energodar.

Energodar. The column of enemy vehicles headed towards the nuclear power plant. Gunshots are heard in the city.

It seems the barricade they created didn't hold the Russian column on Energodar.

However, in this instance, his observation is factual, informative, and relevant! It’s interesting, in reference to a post I responded to in the Olympics thread, that Boxing’s premiere sanctioning bodies are not HQ’d in the US.

I’m also saddened that two of Boxing’s premier talents, Vasily Lomachenko And Aleksandr Usyk have had to put their careers on hold as they’ve returned to Ukraine to volunteer in the fight to protect their homeland. If the hearts of these two a Champions is any indication of the hearts of the Ukrainian people, then Russia will be fighting to the death!

Autocracies will be most nervous: they own half of the world’s $20trn pile of reserves and sovereign wealth assets. While China can inflict huge economic costs on the West by blocking supply chains, it is now clear that in the event of a war over Taiwan, the West could freeze China’s $3.3trn reserve pile. Even some democracies like India, which has avoided condemning Russia’s invasion, may worry they are more vulnerable to Western pressure. Over the next decade technological changes could create new payments networks that bypass the Western banking system. China’s digital-currency trial has 261m users. Today it is hard to park trillions of dollars outside Western markets, but in time more countries may seek to diversify their reserves by investing more elsewhere.

Is this true or western propaganda? There were 6000 Chinese citizens in Ukraine at the start of the conflict a week ago. 2500 have been repatriated in a week. That leaves 3500.

There are only two ways for China to solve this issue with Foreign currency reserves. Just don't keep any.

Either China gives up on a managed exchanged rate and makes its currency completely free floating, thus it will never need any foreign reserves and whatever the market decides the value of Yuan is, it is. This is the type of system used by many western countries.

Option 2 is that China mandates that trades with China must happen in Yuan only. No more dollar trades. I think China has enough financial and trade power to dictate such a thing. It will be disruptive in the begining but that can be mitigated by providing a long enough deadline like a 2- year deadline or something.

Once China does this, Yuan will automatically become a reserve currency and a currency used for trades by many countries around the world. Then again China won't need to manage its exchange rate against the dollar and no need to keep any reserves.

As long as China focuses on managing its exchange rate, it will be vulnerable to asset freezes.
