There were no patriot launchers or CIWS systems deployed when the Iranian missile strike occurred; they were deployed afterwards. Patriot is still a good system against low flying aircraft and cruise missiles.
There is 483 active launchers in the inventory.
Mainly old vintage, scrapy ones from the 70s, capable to shoot down big slow targets.
Nothing to protect any airfiled from enemy strikes.
