As if US care about "CN sincerity".
If it doesn't care then why does it send its climate envoy like every month to speak with China then.
For someone who says it doesn't care, it sure seems like it cares a lot.

Anyway, China is the one which doesn't really care. If the US wants cooperation then drop the confrontational rhetoric otherwise the US can go pound sand.

China has a responsibility towards its citizens' well-being. That means that energy supply must increase a lot and the best and most stable source of such energy is coal.

If the West truly wants China to move its net-zero emissions goal from 2060 to 2050 then it should get ready to send money to China.

$200 Billion per year should be enough for China to move its goal to 2050

Thanks a lot for putting efforts in detailing the wrongdoings of Zhao Wei. Frankly I have a little interest in following up the celebrity news, and even during the recent news about her I was simply absent from that news development. So I am much surprised to learn from your post about how far the sins the actress has been done, be a mistress of the falling head in the eastern province (but somehow I already guessed/deduced when I read the brief news about the two fall-downs posted here -- an influential leader and a young attractive woman, just a natural causality most of the time: power, wealth and woman), and more shockingly learning that she'd run away with the boss' driver to Singapore and becomes billionaire there fantastic story

Really, Xi needs to clean up the nation from people like this and many other business improprieties incl. the Big Tech sector. It's truly a much blessing that China has a very good and strong and determined leader like Xi Jinping. And of course, in particular the Anglo media wanna see the fall of the nation of China, at least to impede her progress, so any act incl. the clean-up ones that will bring the nation to her betterment will be framed in the negative lenses by the Anglo force. What's better than to witness the regress of China due to all kinds of wrongdoings esp. the rampant corruptions??? That's a no-brainer understanding!
@windsclouds2030 bro when Xi ascend to power in 2012 I read a column in Jamestown China brief about Xi redness and how it is bad for China, back then I say WHAT? is inequality not an issue and right after the 2008 financial crisis that show how corrupt and unrestrained capitalism is. Well he doesn't disappoint and for me I congratulate his predecessor Hu Jintao and other communist elders that selected and put their fate in him. Giving him their trust, confidence and FULL AUTHORITY that equal that of MAO and DENG to implement reform and the rest is history as he institute his legacy by training and laying the ground work for the next generation of RED LEADERS.

Nice move, Beijing
The ferocity of Beijing’s response to the announcement, in late July, that a “Taiwanese” representative office would soon open in Vilnius appears to have caught by surprise Lithuania’s government, which is calling on other EU member states to send a strong message of solidarity. Lithuanian officials told me that, in addition to widely reported steps to halt rail traffic and eliminate food export permits, China had closed a facility that grants Lithuanian importers interest-free three-month credits and closed the Hong Kong bank accounts of a leading Lithuanian telecommunications firm. The fear in Vilnius is of a total ban on imports and exports—a step that officials say would hurt. While only about 1 percent of the country’s exports go to China, Lithuania imports nearly four times as much from China—including essential inputs such as steel and semiconductors. Local companies are already scrambling to reorganize their supply chains.

In comparison, when the US asks China to compartmentalise issues, China can successfully refuse this request.
This is because China is bigger than the USA in many respects.
I'am not sure for that. CN will show a facade of disagreement for PR...

It is funny to see many articles like this after the Vietnamese flat out said that they won't join any anti-China alliance. It almost seems like they're trying to cover up that PR win for China.

US certainly care about "some cooperation that they think could advance its interest" not really if CN is sincere or not.
If CN doesn't really care, they should not every time welcome this climate envoy dude. Lot of theatrical move from these two gov.
Everyone like playing the climate card, lol

So China is offering economic growth to Vietnam, while the US offers thoughts and prayers

The minimum that the US has to do in order to get some credibility in the region, is to join TPP. Not happening any time soon

Biden is already under fire from the progressive wing of the Democratic party to drop the confrontasional rhetoric and cooperate with China on climate change.

On the other hand, China's internal politics are pretty stable. The few idiots who believed about cooperating with the US, have been locked in the closet after the COVID thing and US aggression.

Yes Biden will keep the aggression but as time passes, more resistance will be generated internally. If he wants to have a race with Xi on who is going to blink first then lol. Xi's position and foreign affairs policy is rock solid

Effective strategy for Vietnam, should be to balance CN and US to extract maximum benefits and never really choose a side until they fight each other with a clear winner. But they also seem to be victim of US PR like many US allies and even adversaries, lol

@escobar Sir all of ASEAN will balance their relationship and may shift to Transactional instead of acquiescing especially regarding the US. It will not be the same as before and this vex the American BIG TIME. You can't bully yourself out of this mess and need to show the MONEY.
