It isn't that simple. AstraZeneca phase 3 trial(the largest trial) in the US was halted for over 6 weeks. Fair or not fair, the decision to pause AstraZeneca for over 6 weeks doomed AstraZeneca chance of getting approval. Most other countries only took 3-4 weeks to clear AstraZeneca.

Ah I didn't know that. If that's was during Trump then yeah lol probably not enough bribes.

If that was with Biden dunno maybe their testing wasn't accurate enough? But I wouldn't say it it was for profit or for a more sinister reason because for the 21 trillion US economy every delay by a month, is worth a small nation's entire GDP.

It is during the Trump era. Whatever the reason, AstraZeneca's reputation is tainted. It could be that AstraZeneca vaccine is costing only $3-4 per dose which make other vaccines manufacturers uncomfortable.

The UK is going to be pretty screwed for years to come if they cannot get over there colonial days complex. They should realize ( like the rest of those other colonial states) is that the only thing stopping other nations from coming to take a literal piece of the Uk is the USA right now. If anything did happen to the USA ( given the multitude of red flags coming up) the uk might end up breaking down for real since none of there leadership seems to be interested in protecting the people right now. Also they should stop pissing off China given that they do have the means to really screw the UK up and the options are steadily rising by the day. Sinovac could design the protocol, criteria, and procedure if it wanted to. However, Sinovac decided to let Butantan institute to design the protocol to earn trust. However, Bolsonaro replaced his health ministry and the people in charge of anvisa and told the Blutantan to publish the lowest number as the trial results.

One of the mistakes is to allow Butantan institute to test everyone including asymptomatic cases which is abnormal. Initially, Butantan published the efficacy rate without including the asymptomatic cases but Bolsonaro and his people in anvisa forced Butantan to include asymptomatic cases and every Western media since then have used the 50.4% efficacy rate to mislead the readers.

Quote from the media "Normally, that is based on people developing obvious symptoms but in this Brazilian trial, people with no symptoms also appear to have been included." It is not only lack of experience but also foolish as some Western vaccines only include people with two symptoms for calculation.

They should find a way to verify their efficacy rates. In Hong Kong, many people think Sinovac is not as effective as foreign vaccines. This is unfair, if it was the testing methodology that was incorrect. It also affect the issuing of vaccine passports in the future, as the efficacy rate is important to create confidence in the vaccine.

At the same time they say China has sent half a billion doses of their vaccines around the world so far. TV news hardly mentions what China is doing so that's new and the print media where you usually find more information are contradicting it completely. Reading stories on the international vaccination effort is confusing as hell. There has to be a major disinformation campaign going on. The US is hoarding vaccines. The EU is complaining about not getting enough. It sounds like the recent Quad's declaration to vaccinate the world claim is a complete lie because if they're seeing these problems for themselves, how can they get an international effort going?

Well the US is hoarding until 1st of May when most of the adults would have been vaccinated and maybe they could open the country by then.

After that day, expect major propaganda coming from US when they will start donating vaccines. Would be real funny to see how the brainwashed people go from hoarding vaccines is good to then accusing China.

To conclude, the ASEAN vaccine donations will start after 1St of May and the US has finished vaccination.
