I believe Chinese government already stockpile a year worth of grain and maybe some meat. Do you like the taste of old rice?

There are multiple ways to starve China. US can issue tons of fiat money to buy up all the grains on the market. US can sanction anyone who sells grains to China. US can sponsor (behind the scenes) pirates to halt Chinese shipping. Are you gonna nuke the US for that?

I don't believe land transport can ship enough food. Anyways, other countries will raise their prices if China is starving, like Turkmenistan had some unscheduled maintenance on their gas pipelines when China was starving for natural gas a few winters ago

China is self sufficient in grain and has plenty of meat stock They import soy to feed the pig In emergency they just can eat veggie and ration meat They will survive

Worse, they will emp them for that if they choose to go that far to stave the people like that. If the USA thinks they can continue to piss china off with all these actions including proxy wars and cold wars and with all there actions in Xinjiang and HK and so on, China is long overdue to give the USA what they deserve. If you intend to stave the people, you better be prepared for a reckoning. If the US dollar loses the world reserve status, then it will be China that will be the one staving the USA of all the goods they need to survive since they cannot purchase anything overseas, not with the debt they have anyway. If you think that you can say that the USA is free to attempt this kind of action on China, China will ensure that even if China goes though hardship, the USA will suffer like they have never suffered before. Not to mention that the USA have overstepped its bounds far to often and I honestly wonder if trying this action on China when the USA is collapsing health, social and economically wise is going to help the USA at all since if they truly intend to commit to this action, well I wonder if they have any protection from EMPs

Even a marginal decline of China's grain output this year has caused a sharp increase in the international corn, wheat, and sorghum prices. Many people have forgotten how enormous China food demands are. Self sufficiency is a priority of China and its food security if it wanted a stability in prices and inflation. There is a reason why CCP puts farming as number one priority every year as famine would always be the main cause of a revolution.

In addition, China has kept investing in salt-resistant rice. Because when times come China would plant them to replace corn and soybeans to feed its livestock.

But more possible scenario is that, there is a revolution for democracy in China tomorrow & might fall to Western lackey government.

Compared to your assumed possibility regarding Bangladesh, my assumed possibilities regarding you have a better chance in probability mathematics.
