Believe me. Given my current place of living, I am one of those who desperately want to believe that China is not the originating place... As of now, even the physical safety of me and my family is threatened by the China haters. At this very moment, both of my handguns are loaded and placed on the end tables next to our bed... I’ve own firearms for many years. Never have I kept my firearms loaded in the house... believe me, the threat is as real as it gets.

With that being said, facts are facts. We cannot change facts simply because we don’t like them. At this time, no matter how much I don’t like it, every piece of hard evidence still points to China as the originating location. Even when the Italians suggest that they found evidence for earlier infection, that simply means the spread has occurred earlier. Still not suggesting outside of China. People are also suggesting that the virus might be in human for many years. However, the evidence is still weak at the moment. We cannot over interpret data simply because it might bend the way we like... And we cannot mislead people no matter how much we don’t like it.

Yes that's why I'm asking is there any article that irrefutably stated it's origin is in China backed up by hard scientific facts. Because as far as I know, aside from trump and his minions proclaiming it a Chinese virus, no one can confirm it's origin.

As for firearms, Ive been sleeping with gun under pillow and rifle by bed. Every time out in public I wear a voice recorder, and assume people will attack me etc. Have a nest cam home system, roav 4k cam for dash cam for car, front and rear, getting a bodycam too

Im using truecrypt and veracrypt for Full Disk Encryption to deter against bad actors that would seek to plant evidence to frame me, and VPN over TOR when on any sensitive sites on the internet. Tails works too, even manage put it on a raspberry pi.

Most of my stuff is done inside a VM using vmware workstation and go back to snapshot each day, all web surfing in sandbox VM. Plus use clonezilla to make base image, every week I reclone reimage my harddrive just in case.

I do have confidence that things will change for the better. I’m a glass half full kinda guy.

Im in DFW area, this kind of thing has been happening forever, even before covid, its just been made worse, not that it didnt exists before...

I don’t think it’s ever this bad. We’ve seen chaos during hurricanes. We’ve seen bad people messing around during hurricanes. Many years ago when we used to live in an apartment, I had to use my gun once. Well, don’t worry, I didn’t actually shoot anyone. Just scared him off. But never before when I feel being personally targeted...

I dont have one in the chamber when I put it under pillow, it aint gonna slide itself, plus for the fnx45 the initial first pull is very heavy... I am contact lens user, had to finally get glasses by bedstand, no time to put on contacts in the dark of the night if awakened. I got the tactical version of fnx with raised sights plus threaded barrel and mount an osprey 45 with a laser... better safe than sorry in this day and age...

Sadly, there are no more tigers in central China. They were hunted to extinction in the wild after 1949. They were considered to be pests by people who did not know better and had absolutely no idea about wildlife conservation and environment protection whatsoever. Some of these tigers survived and breed in captivity and reserves, I think.

On April 6, excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, there are 32 new confirmed cases and 12 new suspected cases. All are imported. There is no death nationwide. There are 30 new asymptomatic cases and a total of 1033 asymptomatic cases. There are 77,167 cured cases and 1,242 existing cases. Existing cases in Hong Kong and Macau increased by 14 to 728.
