Baraccuda SN program, Suffren class the first to Cherbourg where all nuclear submarines were built from SSBN Le Redoutable this DCNS shipyard built also Scorpene.
We start to see the hull, programm worck for the moment, planned begin sea trials for 9 months in 2016 and in service for 2017.
6 planned 4 ordered right now, memory total cost about 8 billion €.
Get a pump jet more quiet as Rubis, very quiet as Triomphant, nuclear reactor get a life of 10 years, Rubis 6 and carry 20 weapons i presume about 10 torpedoes and 10 SM-39/CM MDCN.
Main advantage of this reactor exept performance it does will not all the time one unit in RCOH as Rubis. avaibility increase and for one time in Europe replacement number to number.
With also optronic masts ofc and some arrangements for special forces.
More big as Rubis which was the world's smallest SN with US Skate for displacement and this will be sufficient space for future modifications.
Normaly homeported to Toulon.

Why are the French submarines always a lot smaller than RN's in terms of displacement/tonnes?
Rubis-class subs are like only half the size of Trafalgar-class subs for example.
