Russian UAV struck a gas facility in Nadievka.

Another arrival in the Odessa region and spewing a column of thick black smoke and a burning cargo ship.

So just to summarize what the Russians hit so not to waste time and viewing space:

"LOSTARMOUR | Carthago delenda est!
LOSTARMOUR | Carthago delenda est!
Chronicle of strikes on the territory of Ukraine July 13 – July 14, 2026. Yesterday day and night, the Aerospace Forces and missile forces attacked targets in the Donbass, Sumy, Kharkov, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and Kherson regions (the entire range of weapons),...
Tonight the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out group strikes:

• ground-based high-precision long-range weapons at Ukrainian military industry enterprises in the city of KYIV involved in the production of cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles;

• high-precision air-launched long-range weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles against port infrastructure facilities in the Odessa region, used to unload and store fuel and lubricants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Defeated in the city of Kyiv:

• aggregate and detailed enterprise of the radio-electronic industry Kiev GP «Radio meter», which is a key supplier of units, components and components of the electronic base for the production of guided missiles «Neptune-MD», operational-tactical missiles FP-7, -9 and «Thunder-2». The company also produces navigation and landing equipment and microwave components for the aircraft industry;

• industrial enterprise Kyiv-79 (LLC «UKR ARMO TEH») – is one of the main production facilities in Ukraine for assembling warheads for unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles of various types. The company also processes and stores explosives used in the production of ammunition, and serves as a logistics center for storing and shipping military products, including armored vehicles and UAVs.

Defeated in Odessa region:

• port «SOUTH» (state-owned enterprise «Sea Trade Port «South») – port infrastructure facilities used for unloading fuels and lubricants and seven fuel and lubricants tanks designed to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

• In addition, in port «South», on the territory of the container terminal, a cargo ship delivering military cargo was hit at the time of unloading.

• Also hit was a tanker on the passage from the port of Chernomorsk to the port of Odessa."

Based on the descriptions it appears that a lot of stuff are still made in Ukraine, and industrial infrastructure still centers around central and eastern Ukraine. The stuff being made in Ukraine are drones and missiles with the potential of over 300km range.

Not sure how many more high value targets Ukraine has anymore.

But more importantly, how is Russia mitigating the long range drones attacks on its refineries ?

That hits at the heart of Russian economy and logistics. They better figure that out. Their resilient economy was one of the surprises during this war. Question is how long they can stay resilient.

That hits at the heart of Russian economy and logistics. They better figure that out. Their resilient economy was one of the surprises during this war. Question is how long they can stay resilient.

Not easy but they have to hit the entire chain the moment drone components arrived on ship to Ukraine; transported from Odessa to Kiev or wherever the assembly plant is; hit the assembly area; hit where the drone components are stored; hit where the completed drone is stored; hit where the drones are launched.

You would have to figure out that it means ships, port infrastructure, highways or at least their gas stations, any large structure like barracks, malls, factories and warehouses, and trucks, more trucks, truck parking lots.

Not going to happen overnight but gradually it means less places to store them, less trucks to move them, less places to assemble them. Hitting power stations to cause rotational blackouts is also a factor.

At the same time Russians need to further beef up the number of fire teams, more trucks with machine guns, introduce robot turrets, AA vehicles, further increase production of MANPADS, convert every helicopter to one carrying a machine gun, produce more attack helicopters to intercept drones, produce more interceptor drones. Particularly interesting are mother ship drones like a Gerbera carrying four FPV drones, then drop each drone to intercept a UAV then after all the drones are expended the mother drone expends itself on a target.

The refineries need to be smaller, more built further inland, covered with cages and turrets.

Turrets should be added to the ships or have patrol ships mount turrets or MANPADS. Russian Navy ships are loaded for bear for long range anti ship engagement. Once the ship armaments run out, the crew should have supplemental MANPADS.

Russians do destroy a lot of drones so they are in the right track but it's the few that escaped that causes enormous damage. It's a matter of math where they could reduce the drone stream so enhanced air defenses could take them out 100 percent.

It's probably the reason why Ukrainian drones don't attack Russian armament and drone factories, at least not lately because their local defense shoot them down completely.

116 tankers and other ships hit so far in recent days. If these strikes are actually rendering the ships inoperable, this is a significant problem for maritime oil transport in the area. All I am wondering is, why the ships are still sailing without seemingly any countermeasures? If I'm some Russian civilian sailor you couldn't pay me enough to step in one of these death traps.

In fact full blown mobilization and nukes, that vast majority of Russians are ok with that if that means the destruction of all of Ukraine.
Putin has his own plans of bleeding the Ukrainians to death and also the West.
Yeah, good luck with that. Far more likely that he will ( if he isn't allready ) bleed Russia to death...

It is precisely they are easy is the reason they are attacked. It's called picking the easiest fruits in the tree.

To be honest, many of the crews are Filipinos, Indians, and Ukrainians.

Things can change. For example this ship already has cables and nets.

This ship has some kind of barrier on it.

Ukrainians are trying to hit the decks and the aft of the ships. But cargo ships are built really tough. If a drone or a plane crashes on the ship at an angle, it will likely glance off. You are hitting the superstructure because it gives you a flat 90 degree surface to hit on.

Tankers started to get built really tough, thanks to the Tanker War between Iraq and Iran where the two sides shot missiles at each other's tankers.

It will only be a matter of time before remote controlled guns like these Enclave may appear in vessels. These will also give ships some teeth against boarding or even piracy.

I'm going to add that what's happening on the Sea of Azov is the perfect scenario for a pack of Type 056 ships, albeit with a helicopter containg a machine gun, or the deck used to launch interceptor drones along with crew employing MANPADS. The main 76mm gun is a dual use, both anti air and surface.
