I have a new proposal; China should set up an office where foreign non Chinese designers and artists who want to use historically Chinese designs must pay an annual IP fee. Penalty for non compliance being black bagged and imprisonment on Chinese soil.
The fact is, westerners fear China but have only just begun to learn to respect China and Chinese ppl and culture. Fear is a necessary catalyst.

With a weak yen, India is one of the few places left that they can reliably attract immigrants from. China, Korea and even Viet Nam are doing much better than Japan and a poor exchange rate with their local currencies plus overworking culture means that they must go import foreign of the Indian kind.

It originated when China finally started doing censuses again after things have calmed down and stabilised, and the actual population was millions fewer than the expected population.

As a percentage of total population, the difference was massive, like 6-12% of total population massive, and should have been the first glaring warning sign that something was massively wrong with the numbers somewhere. The expected population was based on growth models that could not be updated properly for over a decade due to all the political instability and based on sample data reported by the provinces. So we are to believe all statistics in China was massively inflated during the Great Leap Forward except for population growth.

Rather than do any semblance of actual scientific or statistical analysis on the myriad of possible and indeed probable explanations, it was all immediately classified as famine deaths and seriously never questioned by anyone in the west.

Not only a loss, but the blatant corruption in Trump strong arming FIFA to reverse Folarin Balogun's red card, the arrogance from MAGA rubbing it in Europe's face that they couldn't do anything about it and that they were going to trounce Belgium as a result, and now MAGA copium by falling back on the tired old "Americans don't care about soccer anyways," has done quite the number on the supposed "soft power" from World Cup fans enjoying big American portion sizes and Costco.

Just when the US wins back a little good will in the world, however illusory it was, MAGA turns it all to shit.

Whoever in the government (I suspect the Foreign Ministry) was responsible for allowing Indians easy access to visas to enter China is causing the CPC necessary problems. It’s an incredibly stupid strategy that is causing resentment among the Chinese people. Now the Chinese embassy in India is releasing statements. I wonder how long this strategy will last? Boomers really should retire and give the younger generations a chance.
