Whoever in the government (I suspect the Foreign Ministry) was responsible for allowing Indians easy access to visas to enter China is causing the CPC necessary problems. It’s an incredibly stupid strategy that is causing resentment among the Chinese people. Now the Chinese embassy in India is releasing statements. I wonder how long this strategy will last? Boomers really should retire and give the younger generations a chance.
I'll go against the grain here. Look I know lots of people here kind of have a chip on their shoulder about India due to internet beefs with Jai Hinds. But by pure statistics Indians working in China and tourist arrivals are miniscule, even Americans not of Chinese descent far outclass the presence of Indians in China. The hate circle jerk on Chinese internet about the Indian presence in China really does come off as Chinese stressed about society and work blowing off steam on a people that the global internet has deemed convenient to hate nowadays. Worse, it risks getting other South Asians friendly to China like Pakistanis and Bangladeshis caught in the crossfire, as those groups probably do have higher visitor and working numbers in China than India and get mistaken for Indian.

But as soon as the "friendly nations" express astonishment, our national government becomes afraid, fearing "if this continues, the nation will cease to be a nation." It seems that losing the three northeastern provinces makes the Party-state more like a nation; losing them with no one uttering a sound makes the Party-state more like a nation; losing them with only a few students submitting a few "petitions" makes the Party-state more like a nation, as if it could win the praise of the "friendly nations" and remain a "nation" forever.
Sure, India hasn't invaded China on the scale Japan did, but 4 PLA soldiers still died in the 2020 border clash. Honestly, I think India is far more hostile to China than Japan. They're just completely incompetent and physically blocked by the Himalayas.

Obviously Xi can't handle every little detail and has bigger things to worry about, but he needs to fire that ambassador to India ASAP.

It always starts small until it doesn't. That's literally their trick. It's harmless at the start so you don't need to look into it. Well by the time you do, it's too late.

My biggest issue however isn't size. It's intention and I find Indians generally have malicious intentions towards China. People can blame Modi but he's just saying the quiet part out loud. I actually think they have worse intentions than even the west. At least the west sometimes gives although that is very imbalanced. Plus they don't border China. Meanwhile India still feels entitled to China coz of some dude from Nepal.

Just look how India treats people in the north east or what they did to Chinese citizens during 1962 for a preview.
