I didn't even know that because I don't follow grifter slop. A lot of people can't even go to the world cup coz its just so damn expensive.
Exactly, cheapest tickets in the USA for so many of these games $1,500 dollars, emphasis on USD. If MAGA wants to show the world that the US is great despite the "propaganda," they're not exactly drawing from an ideal sample size to make that example to.

The Americans didn’t get the tech, they got production lines. That is a crucial difference because it means they cannot replicate those production lines. Existing output is peak output, never mind about improvements, so those plants are going to rapidly become uncompetitive due to the speed of tech advancement in this sector.

Additionally, guess who is the only one who can service or repair those production lines? The same Chinese companies they just kicked out. And guess what their pricing policy is going to be when it comes time to make call outs? That’s if Beijing even allows them to provide servicing and repairs.
They might not be competitive against Chinese production, but they're actually extremely competitive against other American current and future production, so the next effect is actually very destructive to US solar industry, now "American" production has a price ceiling set by a Chinese line.

It is not just about going to the match. Its how guests feel about the place. The vibe. the engagement with local people.
US is extension of European and Latin culture. so those people will find some thing that is great.
in current environment even Air-conditioning is better than Europe.
This FIFA President put that long list of why Russia FIFA was greatest. it is much beyond than ticket sales or viewership of every match. billions just watching just opening or closing match does not make it greatest.
in addition there was alot more Royal presence from beginning to the end. This is very different interaction outside main cities.

When Japan got knocked out by Brazil.

Now all of Asia is out I think unless you count Australia which should be Oceania anyway.

All that effort required and needed. And yet the best you can last is a few days more than the group stages.
Exactly, for anyone who thinks that China "ought" to be better at football, to qualify for the World Cup, to win it one day, well you play to win, just realise that this is the single hardest sport in the world to want to win. Every country wants it, but the Europeans will always be some 10 years ahead of everyone else. You either have a well developed multi-billion dollar football league and industry, or your country's youth have no better way to make a living other than to play football and hope to one day join the European clubs, then the best you can hope for is to become like the Japans or Koreas. The Latin American method also carry a risk of making the sport a kind of quasi-religion for your people.

Just treat this as a simple sport where people enjoy playing and can get fit at the same time. There is no need for any governmental effect in promoting it anymore than present. Just let this be a grassroots level initiative. When China becomes truly rich, and have a lot of free time for sports entertainment indulgence, when it has the political heft to set the international rules in sports, and keep the profits of professional sports for themselves, yeah maybe then they can be more serious about it, because then it becomes a money making business. But still, hopefully in moderation.
