Okay, I just have to chime in.
Currently with the World Cup going on, MAGA is having a giant circle jerk over social media vids of international travelers having a good time in whatever host city the game they're attending is being held in and how it supposedly undoes, "Democrat propaganda" of the US's decline. Getting the hypocrisy of previously mocking how much Chinese take so much pride in the world admiring their "useless neon skyscrapers," out of the way, lets break this down. First off, why the need to so fervently parade these vids as signs that America is still great despite the propaganda? I thought Trump already made America great again and everyone outside of the global commie left knows this as a fact? I thought MAGA was all about making America for Americans (cough, White folks) the rest of the world be damned? Exactly.
Second of all, don't mind if Chinese take pride in the world experiencing their clean streets, futuristic cityscapes, technological sophistication, and efficient public transport. Meanwhile, what is MAGA so proud of the world basking in and their validation of America greatness? Almost all these social media vids from world cup visitors only focus on two things, the size of America grocery stores and the portion sizes at American restaurants. Like come on now. That's not even grasping at straws, that's grasping at the farts those world cup fans are probably producing after eating a whole platter of Texas BBQ with sides.
Meanwhile the numbers don't lie. Trump's policies have made this world cup attendance way below expectations across the board.
Tickets and everything related to the venue in the US are expensive as hell, so only the cream of the crop and a handful of influencers are in anyway "bedazzled" by American greatness. The rest of the world knows what's up.
