Money. Its all about the money.

Huge difference between a country with 35K-40k GDP per capita vs a country with 14K.

SK and Japan has been richer significantly longer and has the cultural and mindset to pursue sports and bring talent.

Yeah tell me about the massive economies of places like Cape Verde, Uzbekistan and hell North Korea. They surely bring China to shame.

Why is the national team not disbanded yet? They clearly can't play football even if their life depended on it, so fire them, they can go look for some other job.

People here (me included) always bring up the idea that Chinese players need to go play in European leagues when talking about how to fix the Chinese men's football team. And while that is a good idea. The reality is that it is not up to China to do that, it is up to the major European leagues to start buying Chinese players.

In any case forget about Europe for a second. most African and Arab teams are far better than the Chinese team. If the Chinese team could one day be at the level of the Jordanian team then that would an enough of an accomplishment to convince the state to finally host the world cup.

In the qualifiers for the world cup. The Chinese team ranked even below Palestine! Just think about that for a moment.

You know what that means? Forget about the Euro leagues. If you could have Chinese players playing in African and Arab leagues then that would be a boost to the perfomance of the Chinese players.

So in short (let's say the semi TLDR):

Chinese leagues need to start buying foreign players en mass to force them to compete with each other rather than retire and play like shit against amature local chinese players. This would also force the few Chinese players that remain to up their game.

Buying foreigners in small token numbers is what harms the game because then these foreigners do little effort knowing there isnt local competition.

if you can't get good players from Latin America and Europe then buy them from Africa.

If the end result is just 30 Chinese players out of hundreds playing in the Chinese super league remain then so be it.

Currently only around 20% of players in the super league are foreigners, that is a terrible percentage, looking at the horrible perfomance of Chinese players.. they don't deserve more than 10% at most. There are about 500 players in the super league.

I'm sure you could easily find 300 foreigners who are better than 300 of these local players. The super league should be.. 400 foreigners with the best 100 Chinese players to force them to up their game and at the same time prevent these foreigners from essentially playing like a retired footballer.

If you need to have your domestic team dominated by foreigners, there's no point left in competing. I'm not a soccer fan by a long stretch but if you believe that the reason China sucks is because all the Chinese regional teams suck so they have no one good to practice and improve against, I think the end solution to this is AI and robotics. When Chinese AI and humanoid robotics get to a point where they can create robotic soccer teams to practice against, it will begin to increase the level of our players and teams. Every recorded soccer match in history be analyzed for strategy and downloaded into the library of the robotic team, and the difficulty can be set by the coach for their speed, reaction time, strength, endurance, strategy, coordination and learning/adaptive capability so that the robotic team can always stay at just the right level to challenge and train, but not overwhelm our players. We can't rely on foreigners for anything; we can only do it ourselves.

This is because Westoids always make any tech that they have into a mythical magical thing that only they can do. It should have been obvious to any person with tech knowledge that if AI can write code, verify code, ofcourse it will be able to find bugs in old code written by humans.

Ability to find bugs in code is not some super-human ability that only the mythical ASI could do.

I'm saying it's a major incident that shouldn't be pushed aside as nothing important just because there very luckily wasn't much damage caused.

There is no need to get defensive about this if this does turn out of be a lapse of security around the capital out of all places.

I'm not defensive, just realistic. I'm glad this happened during peace time. If there is a security lapse, it's much better to have practice sealing the holes and being vigilant during peace time than during war.

Sure it's a major incident. No one is pushing it aside. But what difference does it make for us to take it more seriously? Answer is none.
