There's not really much difference. A huge chunk of people in Taiwan are just guys from southern Fujian like Xiamen who moved to Taiwan earlier. So since times sucked back then, there were bound to be those who wanted to take any advantage.

When I first heard that a lot of Singapore and Taiwanese were the same people and even spoke the same language originally, it blew my mind. Actually that applies to many SEA Chinese too.

Most DPP aren’t even Taiwan aborigine anyway and are Fujianese colonists who style themselves “swordfish people”. Wish they’d make like a swordfish and swim across the Pacific.

Ironic because you can make this argument for China's rise in world beating innovation using the Western narrative that China has no freedom. But you know they're not going to put two and two together when it doesn't serve their propaganda. But really how can you not escape this book's macro messaging and the press tour on national television that follows happening at this time. Advocating "restrictions on freedom" would've been odd to claim not too long ago... but not now. They have to sell that constraints are a positive under the guise that it's personally good for you.

If you read the article, it was basically saying by considering all Minnan people “Taiwanese” they could claim Fujian, and considerable influence on SEA regions (Malaya [now Singapore/Malaysia], Dutch East Indies [Indonesia], Philippines) since they had influential Hokkien populations. Now these people could be “Taiwanese” and thus Japanese…

Crazy logic, but logical nevertheless.
By this logic, I am half Japanese and my reddit credibility is +100

But the article I brought up is the most crazy because it people/cucks from Fujian registering to be Taiwanese so they can serve Imperial Japan when Japan occupied Xiamen.

I have been posting often about this dispute. Just change in language from before and after Trump the dates are before Operation Sindoor.
There is presumption that UAE President 3 hour visit to India with Modi standing at airport finally convinced Modi for that Israel visit. He has to use Arab airspace. This Iran-UAE conflict is another opportunity for India to display its loyalties to Royal Kingdoms and this should be India primary mission.

I saw this on Morning Joe today.

Get in line! Conflating is the word being used as being the new wrong to do but it's been happening forever. What makes it so special now? Because they claim people are conflating what the Israeli government is doing as the same as what all Jews are doing. Just posting this I will be labeled as antisemitic and a potential Nazi-like threat thus subject to persecution. That's what they would be okay with. When COVID-19 first started spreading and there were reports of Asians in the US being attacked on the streets, the New York Times came out with an article how Jews were being blamed for COVID. Is the wrong here conflating blaming Jews for something that's the responsibility of Asians? No problem blaming all Asians in the US for what they say started in China...

When I was in high school there was white kid there explaining to me the difference from a N-word and a black. Of course N-words are black people that white people don't like meaning if you were black and did anything a white person didn't like, it was all right to call them the N-word and treat them accordingly. They were the trouble makers if they protested white racism thus using such language was okay. They say the same thing about Chinese. If any Chinese is critical of the US and the West, they had to be a communist CCP. All you had to do for them to conflate the two was just doing something they didn't like. They're always going to look for an excuse to hate and to conflate. It's hair-trigger racism but somehow only bad when it's done to certain groups and not bad for all and especially when they do it to others themselves.
