Simple solution....or mixture of drones, some drones are harden and some laser proof and send them in numbers. Also sending ballistic missiles to hit the laser power source, power station....hitting their batteries also result in chemical explosions. The US is in a no win situation. If it stays in Hormuz, a large number of its forces are unavailable for its real challenger, which is China and on top of that, they cannot really open global shipping if some ships get through while others get lit up. No company is going to risk doing that kind of business. If they leave, they just conceded to Iran.
If the US thought it could come out on top by bombing, it would have done so already; they never honor treaties or ceasefires when it suits them. But it is because Iran has basically whacked all of America's permanent installations and billion dollar radars in the middle east and have restocked missiles and drones under underground missile cities which America cannot destroy that Trump doesn't want to reopen that can of worms. Now the Trump admin's just clowning around saying Epstein fury, or was it Epic Failure, is over and now America's not looking for a fight with Iran but just defensively escorting ships.

Oh no. Another round of bombing, just like Iran has been bombed for past couple years? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again expecting a different outcome. If bombing was sufficient, Iran should have collapsed after last year's bombing or given up by now. Bombing won't do anything, neither does these French carrier. Too late.
Iran had 47 years to invent the bomb and didn't...besides people saying they spent 100s billions USD on their nuclear program and for what? nothing to show for the money spent, terrible mistake.

Very true. The old Ayatollah held Iran back badly. But Iran is a big country with depth and a large STEM-loving population. They've got nuclear labs in mountains hundreds of meters underground to develop those nukes and missile cities to protect them with in the meantime. Ain't no time like the present. They are moving fwd some of the missiles, bases commands into UAE.
