Looks like Trump has failed. He's considering cease fire without reopening the strait of Hormuz.
Definitely sounds like Donny Boy wants to cut and run.

President Donald J. Trump is getting extremely desperate for an off ramp that'll allow the United States to avoid a bloody and unwinnable boots on the ground misadventure in Iran.

In fact, Trump looks to be getting desperate enough to be willing to sacrifice the sanctity of the petrodollar!

On March 6, 2026, Trump was

his intent to cease hostilities against Iran in the coming weeks without reopening the Strait of Hormuz, never mind securing Iran's "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!"

Trump apparently expects countries like France — and presumably also Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait, whose bases the US has employed to strike Iran — to "fend for themselves:"

We'll be leaving very soon and if France or some other country wants to get oil or gas, they'll go up through the strait and uh Hormuz Strait. They'll go right up there and they'll be able to fend for themselves. I think it'll be very safe actually. But we have nothing to do with it.
What happens to the strait: we're not going to have anything to do with because these countries, China, China will go up and they'll fuel up their beautiful ships and they'll leave and they'll take care of themselves. There's no reason for us to do it.
We hit them hard. We got rid of a lot of a lot of the radicalized lunatics along the strait. But if they want something, but I would say that within uh two weeks, maybe two weeks, maybe three. We're hitting them very hard. Last night, we knocked out tremendous amounts of missile making facilities.

Trump can stop US strikes against Iran at any moment, but that alone won't suspend Iranian return fire. In turn, Trump may need to order American forces to redeploy beyond the reach of Iranian missile and drone strikes to ensure the safety of American servicemen and avoid further escalation.

Upon such a heroic American withdrawal from the Middle East, the GCC sheikhdoms will have little choice but to fundamentally restructure the regional security and financial architecture.

To put it succinctly: the outcome Trump is currently openly moving towards will force the GCC sheikhdoms to ask Beijing — and perhaps Moscow and/or even Brussels — to play an essential and irreplaceable role in "mending fences" with Tehran, and that'll almost certainly come

. Should that occur, the petrodollar won't disappear overnight, but it will become an endangered species.

The petrodollar: another soon-to-be casualty of Making America Great Again!

Now, Trump is looking for a way to exit the war in Iran. The question remained is what will Israel do after Trump has done with the war? I don't trust what Trump says, I will see what he does.

Trump says US could be done with Iran war within 2 or 3 weeks

I’m not sure that he understands this is something you can’t TACO your way out of.

This person is Al Jazeera Arabic’s Tehran bureau chief, no idea how authentic it is etc.

Meanwhile Trump:

They dont have to do a deal

Maybe Trump genuinely isnt being told that Iran is still firing missiles-drones?

YES BB GUNS

I don't understand this at all, in what conscience the White Houses staff or the Pentagon gatekeep all of their losses and the frequency of Iranian attacks that have been almost daily as of Week 3 from Trump?

Why would he or they do that?

Let me guess. The ground invasion of Iran is imminent. Because I don’t believe Trump intends to use prime time for maximum viewership to announce TACO Wednesday.

The long weekend will certainly be a long 72-96 hours.

This administration and him are quite preoccupied with controlling the public narrative and correcting presstitute "misreporting". It's just as likely he wants to preempt public discourse with justifications for a TACO.

Tomorrow is April 1 — and this is Donald Trump we're talking about — so only the all-seeing, the all-knowing, the omniscient that is Allah will have any idea what the orange conman will articulate during his "Address to the Nation" tomorrow night (assuming Trump, who appears increasingly senile, even knows himself at this point)! ;)

"In a brief phone call with Axios, Trump said "the negotiations with Iran are going well""

and "Asked specifically about the Pakistani-Chinese initiative, Trump didn't criticize it but simply reiterated that the diplomacy was going well."

It's either TACO Wednesday, or April Fool's, what a world

This morning Iranian missiles struck hits on the Teva pharmaceutical buildings in Ramat Hova, just south of Beer Sheeba. There have been reports of a massive fire and secondary explosions.
Teva is a major player in generic medication manufacturing ,Teva also makes birth control pills, antidepressants, opioids and hrt drugs.

IRGC PR also put out

Meanwhile Iraqi Militia has kidnapped a US based journalist named Shelly Kittleson in baghdad,

I see various twitter guys saying that US has only recently sent its EA-37B electronic warfare aircraft
And two of them,

They are suggesting its to helpout the ground operation, apparently this conflict will be this plane's first operation?

meanwhile it seems only recently they have begun doing overland b-52 bombing missions not weeks ago as we all assumed.

I know Hegseth is incredibly stupid but does he TRULY believe anyone will buy that US industrial base is better now??? After ww2??
Even better than during the cold war??? Are you KIDDING ME.

This is BEST thing they could do, end the war/leave without doing anything about it,
they are saying it openly now.
We have to remember that they also attacked Iranian proxies in Iraq. It's possible that earlier B52s with JDAMs were actually attacking Iraq or some border towns without entering Iranian airspace
