Yeah im surprised myself . I think the Chinese government should have adopted E.U policy of mandating all vehicles in China be EVs by 2035. I see no reason the government should keep supporting gas guzzling vehicles especially since the world is moving to EVs and China has a huge dominance in that sector unlike in Gas cars. Genuine question - why are so many people buying ICE in China now, in 2026? For someone sitting outside China, I can't imagine even considering ICE at this point. 7/10 are ICE. This seems completely opposite to what we hear about China. Is the govt not pushing for ICE reduction enough or properly?
CEOs/Chairmen of various Chinese EV makers were warmly greeted by Xiaomi's CEO at the launch of the new Xiaomi Su7. It's interesting that these CEOs came out in support of a rival's product launch.
