This is significant.

It was one option that partially bypassed the Strait of Hormuz.

Also, Houthis could be activated very soon to block Bab Al-Mandab again.

(Hence, I don't see a world where they agree to militarily contribute in any way to the US-China TW confrontation. If they are this scared of even Iran. Barring Japan.)

In light of the past two weeks, if I were a Taiwanese citizen, I would publicly express my steadfast support for the CCP, no matter the social cost.

Yeah, either conduct the business itself in yuan or pay the Iranian passage toll in it.

Either way, another big blow for the US existence as a massive de-dollarization signal.

When orange can wipe his own ass, not let others do the dirty?
Looks like this confirms China told him to clean up his mess or no meeting.

China can very much help unblock the Strait, problem is he's not going to like the solution: send a million drones a day to Iran until total US withdraw from the region, end all weapons and fuel aid to Israel, and all oil trade in RMB.

This news story is a a few weeks old, but I just heard about it today. Pretty interesting considering the allegations that the west levies on China's treatment of Uyghur women. They should really rename the country to the United States of Non-stop Projection.

It is difficult to really compare the treatment of Native North Americans in both Canada and the United States to Uyghurs.
Canada and the US have done much, much worse

1. Residential Schools

Can you make an argument that the genocide (both cultural and actual) in North America was not more far reaching than anything in Xinjiang? How many Natives can speak their own language? How many can read?

2. Poisoned water (Canada)

No water at all (USA)

Xinjiang is not treated like some kind of reservation.

My initial reaction was to laugh at him, but now that I think about it, China should go! Why not go? China can send ships to gather signal intelligence. Practice detecting B-2/F-35. Even if they are careful to fly them away from where Chinese ships are deployed, it significantly complicates their planning and flight route especially because the PLAN will be deployed at the most strategic spots! They can provide incoming missile early warning to Iran; they might even jam and hack some missiles heading towards Iran (if such a thing can be done without Israel/USA knowing).

And of course, they'll have to pretend to be useful:

"Iran blew up a tanker in Hormuz? My bad; we couldn't get there fast enough cus the captain had diarrhea."

"INCOMING!! Iranian missiles headed towards Kuwait! Everybody take cover!" BOOOOOMMM "Oh my bad, I meant to say Qatar; they sound kinda similar so I got them mixed up. That's on me."

"Hey, I'm trying to help you eliminate threats to keep the strait open but I can't get any threats to appear to me. I've been sailing in circles for days and nothing came at me. Have you tried turning the war off then turning it back on again so I can encounter the problem?"

Why the hell would China want all oil trade in RMB? China would want all oil trade TO CHINA to be optionally settled in RMB, not to replace petrodollar with petroyuan.
