This why regime change will be a disaster for Iran.

I doubt polls hold all that well after you start bombing and killing the people you polled. On the other hand, I'm going to doubt the reliability and methods of an outfit run by diaspora Iranians seeing how self-hating ghouls they are.

Imagine using an online poll method based on referals, thats a sure fire way the only people who reply to it are an especific group that cares about that, making your poll useless, Notwithstanding the way online polls can be affected by bots and fake answers.

Not much. I was implying the geometry that reduces view of the hot parts, i.e. engine nozzles and exhaust.

Study design: online questionnaire.

IR stealth is whole different matter than radar stealth and involve different measures. Either way, the point is not to hunt down enemy fighter aircraft effectively, but present enough of a deterrence that they can’t use cheap weapons to engage the drone.

I think the Vietnamese offer the best tactics for ambush forces for Iran’s capabilities.

The Vietnamese are infamous for their min-max tactics, where they would dismantle radars and missiles and hump them up mountains and through dense jungle to reassemble where you would never expect a SAM to ever be able to get to. This would be particularly applicable to Iran’s mountainous terrain.

The problem would be a lack of forest cover making it far more likely for the prep work or assembled batteries to be discovered. But Iran’s attrition of American and Israeli MALE drones would go a long way to helping mitigate those risks.

As more and more Reapers and the likes are lost, I would not be surprised if we started getting stories of SAMs being shot from the tops of mountains at American and Israeli warplanes.
Vietnam worked with whatever they had, 60 years ago... and they didn't get to have best equipment for the work even back then.
Iran, on the other hand, built for themselves just that.

List isn't 100% complete(since i've made it, IRGC also demonstrated they operate Majid; not just the army). Note that everything but the very low end(Ghaem, Ra'ad) is self-contained(TELAR). They're very mobile...they just can't hit anything big, which is likely tech/eccm problem.
And honestly, given how readily their IRST(not seeker tracking!) switches from engaged aircraft to flares...well, it is not hard to see why.

Footage shows Iranian air defenses of unknown types striking Israeli Hermes-900 heavy UAVs near Tehran and an American MQ-9 Reaper UAV over Bushehr. Other shots of these drones being shot down in Iran are also shown. To date, 11 American MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance and attack UAVs have been lost, according to CBS News, citing two US officials. Experts estimate the cost of each MQ-9 Reaper UAV to be approximately $30 million.
