I'm thinking that perhaps the US is trying to do attrition first on Iran through long range strikes because of how fortified/defended is Iran before launching a complete ground Invasion into their territory
I don't think there is going to be a ground invasion.. I believe they are going to pound the Iranian state with air power in the hopes of collapsing it and let forces favourable to us and Israel and other arab client states take power.. Let's wait and see.

Dont expect too much other than sinking ships in hormuz strait. Iran frankly should've struck first, but this was known by the soviets all the way back than, and also the same thing happened with Iraq. There's a reason they don't put alot of planes up towards china or russia even during tensions. If America really wants to get you, its very easy to tell and prepare, which is why I dont see Isreal acutally kill alot of the higher ups.

Also nice try getting any meaningful change out of Iran without boots on the ground, which would be like fighting China on the ground, a death wish.

"Reuters has since BACKTRACKED on confirming Khamenei's death, reiterating that Israeli officials and Israeli outlets are confirming his death."
Iran responded in less than 2 hours, they obviously had live intel on Israeli and US moves.
Do people really think Khamenei is just sitting in his living room? lol

this is air and naval operation only. US don't even have enough soldiers in the region for ground invasion.

I think the lesson for small countries in this war is: if you want to protect your airspace, especially vast airspace, it's actually cheaper to build an air force with good radar rather than an air defense force. And if you want to attack enemy airspace, you can try building Shahed.

If we set the scenario in a strait...
