Death of Ayatollah isnt gonna do much tbh, He is more of a figure head, hell if he is dead and some IRGC hard liner takes the spot, things might get worse.
The nuke ban might actually lift up

Yeah.. But what is the response of Iranian state going to be? That's going to matter right... You can't just let it slide and do some ballistic missile theatrics at some empty desert or civilian infrastructure with no military value and call it true promise 5...

Election is coming and it is going to be a blue wave victory. Trump does not have that flexibility to wage a war again if this one fails. The first day result was pretty bad for a superpower compared to the first few days of the 2003 Iraq war.
I'm thinking that perhaps the US is trying to do attrition first on Iran through long range strikes because of how fortified/defended is Iran before launching a complete ground Invasion into their territory

I wonder. In such structures, central leader(name of position doesn't matter) is a mediator of interest groups, usually acceptable and personally respected/feared by them.
Taking them out thoroughly destabilizes the picture. We already saw that with Hezbollah and to a smaller degree - Hamas.

Some Iranians celebrate, as expected, the death of ayatollah.

@siegecrossbow How much is too much for this Zionist Israel apologist @magmunta

3 v 1 and still failed to intercept (Interceptors vs Iranian BM)

US is quickly depleting its stock of interceptors on thinly spread out bases all across the middle east (and amusingly, failing), while INDOPACOM is screaming like a kid begging for help. There is almost zero chance for the US to win in a Taiwan contingency any more.

i think they are trying to see where they are launching missiles from before using their air force
