This is what a populist paradise looks like: when everyone is only focused on the motivational rhetoric of "what will be achieved," rather than "how to achieve it," politicians and bureaucrats naturally won't bother to think about it. They only need to throw out an even bigger gimmick to attract attention next time.

Unfortunately, this mentality is spreading, from US MAGA to Japan JIBA. It's essentially the same mindset, just reversed – from knowing how to get by to not knowing how to do it, only able to boast about what they're going to do.

Not to shame anyone by giving their names but many people on this very forum wanted China to be more like India in the propaganda (softpower) front during the whole Galwan fiasco. Should China be more open about the ass whipping it gave? Definitely. Should it lie and make up bullshit as a glowup tactic? All I can say is that it backfires quite a lot.

Is this true? And reddit says that she did eye lid surgery and hooked up with a French guy who said racist things about Chinese. If that's true, if I were Chinese I would try to dissociate from her. I for the love of my life can't understand the obsession East Asians, especially the women, have with whites. That too the most bland bottom 0.1% of whites they can find. lol

That's why India hasn't managed to build their own Huawei, Xiaomi etc. which were popular in 2010s even in Europe. Their top companies are busy chasing superficial clout instead of creating viable products. Reliance, Adani etc. are extremely crap and don't invest in R&D.

Lol! CEO of a mining company calls mining for tungsten a "torturous" journey.

It's funny that MAGA media calls Tungsten a rare earth element. Tungsten isn't RE, but it is still a relatively rare metal. They interview the CEO of a mining company who has a mine in South Korea can apparently produce 40% of the world's non-China tungsten production. He calls it a "torturous" journey.

Last I checked, China commands 80% of the world's production of tungsten.

If the South Korean mine can produce 40% of tungsten production outside of China, that's still some catching up left to do. Even if the US doesn't need that much tungsten, they are gonna have to pay a higher price for non-Chinese tungsten. FAFO!

She's American enjoying about the fact that the US is an economic zone, as long as you have money you can do anything like graping children etc.

For the Chinese government she is a useful tool to inspire a couple of generations of Chinese children to take over and compete in winter sports. In two or three decades no one will be bothered or care about Eileen. But China might have a whole selection of domestic winter sports athletes and a completely new winter sports tourism sector boosting domestic consumption.

A manufacturing renaissance was never ever going to happen in the USA anyway. The culture and governance are too wrong for that to start with. financial corporations hold immense power through the money they are managing. Because of their stock market shares they have a representative in boards of all major corporations. Manufacturing is ultimately a high CapEX and low added value thing. But somebody has to do it. As long as there are countries to offshore they will use their power to continue doing... what they have been doing for past 5 decades. They have a lot of influence over the govt too. Just one of the many problems

Why not use a Chinese person then? Also her being used as a model just sends the wrong message that Asian features are unattractive. This woman is literally a product of white worshipping. I am not sure what or who is even inspired.

I would have rather used a foreign athlete altogether than hyping up a product of a white worsipping.
