This made sense yesterday - and still does from the perspective of the current US regime. So I'm curious what the more seasoned political watchers think of this mother of all TACOs at Davos? A bait and switch? Or do they really have no firm strategy, as it certainly seems on the face of it?

This would be really entertaining, it's got that foederati thing going on. Surely if this was actually a thing at the Mexico border and Trump invades Greenland/Iceland the European foederati would open the gates to the "barbarian hoard" that Trump is so scared of.
