A Lufthansa plane en route from Munich to Beijing made an emergency landing at Almaty International Airport after a passenger suddenly fell ill and died on board.

The incident occurred Friday morning on flight LH 0722. Kazakhstan’s Aviation Administration said the passenger lost consciousness mid-flight, prompting the crew to divert to Almaty. Medical teams and ambulances were dispatched immediately, but the passenger was pronounced dead upon arrival, News.Az reports, citing foreign media.

The plane was refueled and continued to Beijing at 07:56 a.m. Transport police have launched a criminal investigation, with preliminary findings indicating the cause of death was acute heart failure. The deceased passenger was a foreign national.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.

It would be poetic if the Trump Class Battleship ends up being built in South Korea while MAGA is seething over the back stabbing of reviving US industries. Rather doubtful they will meet the $10 to $15 billion dollar price tag. I find it more likely the price tag will over run the budget by triple digit percentages.

Isn't it interesting that you have Bari Weiss of the Democratic left and Ben Shapiro of the Republican right in positions of influence but they both hold Israel first before all. Bari Weiss use to define herself as a Democrat. Not so easily now because of the criticism she’s received on the left much like what Ben Shapiro has been experiencing with the right today. Both are seemingly questioned and hated within “their own”. Is it because they can't hide their loyalty to Israel and to no one else? Some might say this is just typical when you find any group that are diversely of the left and the right. But what if this was the strategy? What you have is someone on both sides defining the agendas in order to have control to make sure they converge to protect certain interests first.

How about religion? Look at Judeo-Christianity. I’ve heard of the term but never thought about it much because I’m not Christian until it was brought up in the Charlie Kirk assassination. Supposedly one of the conspiracy theories behind it was apparently Kirk was questioning it. Questioning it? Is that a thing one can do? I thought it was just religious old stuff written in the Bible from centuries ago. Relatively it’s a recent thing where it was something like a public relations tool started to promote commonality and understanding between Jews and Christians. Why are right-wingers questioning it? Because they think it’s about serving only Jewish and Israeli interests and certainly not something mutual. Kirk being a major influencer in young Republican politics questioning Judeo-Christian principles certainly would be a danger for Israel and hence why the conspiracy Jews were behind the assassination.

This says Jews make up one-forth of the non-Asian Buddhist population in the West. Now I wouldn’t say one-fourth is large but it’s interesting that a lot of Jews are in positions of influence. I believe there’s one Jewish woman I’ve heard about is now supposedly in a position where usually a woman would not be normally allowed to hold in traditional Buddhism. Don’t you love how the West changes someone else’s religion as they see fit? Then you have those that are Tibetan scholars mixing in Western anti-China politics like actress Uma Thurman’s father does. The Dalai Lama would probably be sitting in Tibet today if he didn’t listen to these very Westerners… that’s if it was true that he was not seeking to separate Tibet from China.

Is there an attempt to coax Buddhism like what happened with Christianity? Look at how they’re claiming Judaism is similar to Buddhism now. Is that the beginnings of rumblings to claim Buddhism should be protective of Judaism?

Here’s something I’ve heard that’s very important among Jews is where they want the ending of the use of the Buddhist “swastika” symbol that Hitler co-opted... That’s a big ask and that’s why they haven’t demanded it fully publicly yet. They know there’s going to be a huge backlash if they push it. But just as much as everywhere that they have influence now, they’ve successfully made everyone see protecting the Jews and Israel as priority number one.

Someone here posts about how oddly someone who is Jewish being on the board of some Asian community organization. Is that so he can influence the direction of the organization so it doesn’t stray into “sensitive” situations? Is that so he can monitor and report to some handler of what this organization is up to? It's not surprising that Israel is defacto labelling China as their enemy. They'd rather make enemies just so they can claim to be a victim than rather have a people feel not guilty for doing nothing to them in history. Would it be surprising to some day hear Israel say out loud that what Japan did during WWII and especially to the Chinese wasn't as bad as how China portrays it? Even though Japan attacked the US in WWII, a lot China haters in the US will defend what Japan did to China as okay. If you ever had a conversation with someone who's Jewish over WWII, they will tell you that by default. Don't say Chinese were in any way treated as badly during WWII as Jews were even with the indiscriminate execution of women and children or Japanese medical experiments that some say were worse than the ones performed on the Jews. One experiment had no medical purpose. The Japanese put a Chinese mother and her baby in a room where the floor could be heated to high deathly temperatures. The Japanese wanted to know how long it would take for the mother to throw her baby on the floor to stand on to save herself. Look at how the West today just because China doesn't need them economically is trying to rally the world to hate China. Having the world thinking what the Japanese did to the Chinese was not serious would be a measure of their success in their anti-China campaign. Legislative Yuan moves to impeach President Lai​

The Legislative Yuan yesterday approved a motion to initiate impeachment proceedings against President William Lai (賴清德), saying he had undermined Taiwan’s constitutional order and democracy.

The motion was approved 61-50 by lawmakers from the main opposition Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) and the smaller Taiwan People’s Party (TPP), who together hold a legislative majority.

Under the motion, a roll call vote for impeachment would be held on May 19 next year, after various hearings are held and Lai is given the chance to defend himself.

The move came after Lai on Monday last week did not promulgate an amendment passed by the legislature that would have given local governments a larger share of public revenues.

It was the first time in contemporary Taiwanese history that a president had failed to promulgate a law enacted by lawmakers.

Premier Cho Jung-tai (卓榮泰) had declined to countersign the legislation, saying that the legislation would have hurt Taiwan’s fiscal sustainability.

Lai said Cho’s move made it impossible for him to publicly announce the new law.

KMT caucus convener Fu Kun-chi (傅?萁) said the impeachment was filed because Lai undermined the country’s democracy and constitutional order, and contravened the Constitution since taking office.

TPP Chairman Huang Kuo-chang (黃國昌) said the president’s alleged breaches of constitutional order should be addressed through impeachment proceedings to highlight the Legislative Yuan’s role under a democratic constitutional system.

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lawmakers Chung Chia-pin (鍾佳濱) and Rosalia Wu (吳思瑤) accused the opposition of treating the Constitution too lightly and using impeachment as a political game.

The motion was a partisan attack that would not meet the two-third legislative threshold required to impeach Lai, Wu said, accusing the opposition of trying to humiliate the president.

Before the planned roll call vote, the Legislative Yuan is to hold public hearings on Jan. 14 and 15 to hear opinions from members of civil society about the impeachment.

Lai would be invited to explain his position during the legislature’s review sessions scheduled for Jan. 21 and 22, and May 13 and 14.

A separate hearing on April 27 would invite government officials and other parties to give their testimonies, followed by questioning by legislators.

Under the Constitution, impeachment motions against the president or vice president must be proposed by at least half of all legislators and approved by a two-thirds of the Legislative Yuan before being submitted to the Constitutional Court.

If at least two-thirds of the court’s justices agree, the impeachment would be upheld and the impeached person would be removed from office.

It doesn't stop the West from thinking Hong Kong activists represent how all Chinese think about their government. No different from how Ben Shapiro thinks he can tell conservatives what conservatism is all about and Bari Weiss thinking she know what a free press is all about. The more I read about India, the more I realize loads of "Indian" things have foreign origins. A lot being from the middle east (not necessary Islamic although that is the case for a lot) and british. For example Urdu and Hindi have loads of loan words. A lot of food, clothing and buildings have middle east style due to Mughal influence. Actually hell their government style has that influence since the guys in charge were sultans and later brits. The capital of Gujarat (Modi's home state) is called Ahmedabad and historically that has been a trading port between the Middle East and the South Asian continent. Congress party was founded by a brit and the the word Hindu itself comes from Persian.

If you didn't know this? Well its probably done on purpose. I mean those name changes are quite recent. There's a deliberate effort to downplay a lot of foreign stuff and claim it as Indian. And then you wonder why there's so much energy wasted between Hindus and Muslims because it turns out Islam has been in India for a long time and had a huge influence. You can't just ask its hundreds of millions to just go away and pretend it didn't happen. And denying their link to India, just makes things even more confusing.
