I hope they paint it yellow/gold too at this point.
new strategy of prioritizing homeland security. They might have realised that both their airfields and aircraft carriers within the 1st island chain would get blasted anyway so why bother.
There is that Australian think tank that does taiwan-china strategy, I forgot its name they have a great 1 hour+ video on this topic,
But the person essentially says that US is consolidating at home, usn knows they are left behind and with how they do things they cant catchup. But us leaders still think that if war happens then china will come for mainland america, that fear is making them focus on there more.

The irony is that if they follow through on consolidating their military strength at home instead of along China's periphery, it further facilitates China being given the opportunity to win without fighting. That would naturally accelerate Asian neighbors' drift deeper into Chinese influence.

As much as US screams 'Taiwan invasion is imminent' i dont think so, China's plan is to become so undefeatable on paper that reunification becomes inevitable, there is no need to 'fight' to win.
The buildup+Gap in any tech stuff closed, hell ahead in RnD in somethings and maybe more. All this makes US+any allies think twice about the costs of intervention/hot-conflict.

US keeps somewhat presence but their core focus is around NA, all the golden dome, the golden fleet and golden drones are all about mainland protection, leaving China to that side of the pacific,
