You know I blame this on Trump. Obama had everything setup and ready to go with that neo-feudal imperial preference system called TPP and it was Trump who killed it on the very first day on the job.

He's not called "Nation Builder" for no reason.
Just curious, why did reuters publish the news? if they could not immediately verify the info? Accdh to the snapshot text.

It's like how this time last year if you came to this site asking how many engines does the upcoming Chinese 6th gen have we'll say something like "word on the street is 3 engines, but it's not verified".

Not verified because it came from one of their sources and that source isn't officially via either government, but also they trust their source enough that it's almost certainly true, so they decide to publish it before anyone else can.

:D

Did not watch the whole thing yet, the first 10 minutes was just brutal, because Kishore Mahbubani a diplomat, but here in this interview he just talks, like he is thinking the hell with this and the hell with those people.

Seems like he is tired of repeating the same old stuff to white people who never listen (not referring to Prof Pascal Lottaz here, he is okay), the talk was blunt, almost wolf warrior style, lol!!!!

:p

RAM costing about as much as a low to mid tier GPU. Some stores don’t even post the prices anymore because it changes too fast.

Most of what I've read about this has been from the consumer-side "holy shit, buy last month last week now" perspective. But perhaps a broader question for this forum is if this period of elevated demand, constrained supply and elevated pricing for DRAM NAND flash, etc. will provide an opportunity for Chinese manufacturers like CXMT and YMTC to meaningfully improve their market positions?

There was a period when China inundated the market with affordable solid-state drives (SSDs). These drives were attractively priced and offered acceptable performance, featuring grade B NAND flash memory, which enticed consumers to give them a try. However, disruptions occurred with YMTC, and when customers sought refunds for defective products, the brand vanished without a trace. On the other hand, brands utilizing premium grade NAND flash set their prices only slightly lower than other brands. Consequently, consumers did not opt for the Chinese-made over established brands like Samsung or Western Digital. This led to a situation where those who had tried the Chinese SSDs lost trust and would not purchase them again, while those who had never bought one continued to harbor biases. As a result, Chinese SSDs struggled to establish a favorable brand image in the minds of consumers.

Stooges like this are cowards. But they are BEGGING to push China to their limits in Taiwan, they are BEGGING that Taiwan become a second Ukraine. Fight to the last Taiwanese. They want to see that island and its semiconductor industry become a pile rubble. They want to see hundred of thousand Taiwanese people death. They want Asia to become an inestable hellscape in perpetual war.
USA may be wagering an exodus of skilled Taiwanese to the US, hoping former TSMC employees settle down in America, kind of like Operation Paperclip where thousands of Nazi scientists were brought to America.

It's called making shit up without evidence. Old habits die hard, eh? The investigating officials must keep and open mind and explore all possibilities but it is not for you to declare based on your fancy. When the US lost 2 aircraft in 30 minutes in the South China Sea, what happened? Is it called Chinese electronic sabotage or something?
When was this?

Funny how nowadays that most people don’t really buy that how Xinjiang nonsense because of what they are doing in Gaza. Talk about destroying any and every life line left although in all honesty, Israel brought this one upon itself. It’s a real pity that empires take so long to die…..
Israeli empire might be quicker to it's death; has been around less than 80 years. It is truly bizarre, a supposed people who were stateless for 2,000+ years, have achieved all the depravity and crime known to mankind in less than a hundred years of getting their first state.
