Regarding PM Wongs statement on the recent japanese-chinese tensions. This particular Singaporean politician has quite a curious take on things.

He is attacking those who are angry at japanese PM taikachi remarks and those who felt that pm Wongs had said too much as anti Singaporean and CCP shills. Further adding that Singapore has a stake in a Taiwan contingency and we are already involved on the side of the US

For someone who lived in china for 7 years he's still surpringly ignorant of the historical context for this scenario.

I genuinely don't see how being any of these two makes me a paid cpc shill. Or it's not putting Singapore's interest first trying not to get hit by DFs when armed Reunification breaks out.

Intervene in a heavily kinetic war where you know that your assets won't last a week? Put Singaporeans at risk by attacking mainland China from your homeland?

This whole AI hype and the holy grail AGI reminds me of the 80s cold war when Ronald Reagan initiated the SDI program. Hollywood comply and made a slew of movies in relation to the technology. In reality it was nothing but a ruse to topple the Soviets and the Warsaw pact. The intended effect was to create fear because of technological superiority and eventually bankruptcy. And it worked!

I'm frankly very disappointed with Singapore.

But this was to be expected. No one can do what LKY did. Its only fair his successors look weak in comparison. It does not help that due to stuff like CECA, Singapore is slowly getting Indianized and they can't do much about it coz they rely on Anglos to keep them alive.

Its kinda funny coz even till now Singapore is touted as the good boy and Hong Kong is touted as a what could have been. But its possible things may reverse in the future. After all despite all that has happened in Hong Kong, its location is literally next door to Shenzhen and Guangzhou. You can't really get a better location than that. Therefore its people can always just hop over the border to see things with their own eyes since it doesn't really take much effort. Shenzhen obviously is the future of China but Hong Kong is so fortunate to be part of it since it has financial expertise which is pretty much required these days for capital intensive companies. They really don't know how good they have it.

Singapore never had that chance despite literally having no language barrier since most of its people are trained in Mandarin. Its too far away. Sure there are guys like the dude who found Espressif but he obviously is a minority.

TOKYO -- Many public toilets at Haneda Airport's Terminal 2 were unable to flush water on the morning of Nov. 28.

According to the managing company Japan Airport Terminal Co., almost 70% of the toilets at 144 locations were affected with the company's disaster prevention center reporting the situation around 5 a.m. A similar problem occurred about five years ago due to an equipment malfunction.

People in SEA or at least in my country used to laugh at Singapore and say they are not matter or important as they think they are. I used to thought because the size of nation. It tiny so in any conflict just need few days to neutralize Singapore. Now i know because they also have loud mouth. Like toddler eager to jump in fight between two grown man. Lol
