I was going to say someone in Beijing was betting a lot on the Euros fucking up again, and they did almost immediately.
This is happening way too often for it to be a coincidence, and it looks like a deliberate strategy of Beijing to appear to be more than reasonable in the face of European aggression and insults to offer olive branches only to be met with more aggressive and hatefulness.
This is also a masterclass in intelligence operations where China knows European moves so well it’s like the Europeans are working in concert with China to paint themselves as the bad guys and has the confidence to make plays like this based on said intelligence.
If one was of a suspicious disposition, it almost looks like a deliberate and purposeful public opinion shaping exercise to harden people’s resolves inside China and making to neutral 3rd parties abundantly clear who the aggressors is and who should bare ultimate responsibility for the fallout to come.
Oh well, victorious in the Nexperia affair, China is stronger there. But ... the chips are made on ADSL machines. And they are Dutch.

It's their mess to sort out. China didn't tell the Dutch to put themselves between a rock and a hard place, they have nobody but themselves to blame.
Nexperia makes single transistor MOSFETS, China doesn't even remotely need any European machine to produce them.
Their European fabs however does not have advanced silicone carbide wafer capability that China has so even if the Dutch can somehow find packaging for them it'd still be a generation behind Wingtech's new fab.
You might also notice China hasn't agreed to Europe's surrender yet, maybe China just want Nexperia Europe to die and western automakers continue to request new shipments on a case by case basis based on behavior.
Just like with Trump, allowing Europe to surrender would be China's concession, because China can always say no and let western auto starve.
