Robotics like AI is one of those subjects where it’s very sensitive for the West when someone is doing it better than they are. That’s when they display their racism when they believed they’re not. This is one of those cases like where Democrats hate Trump but they would rather China not be the only country in the world to stand up to him and make him blink making his entire tariff case and their case against China put into question.

And everyone knows it’s only going to get better but they want to believe this is as far as China can go because only they can go further. Look at how they’re making a huge deal over the Neo robot. It can’t even fold a shirt. It tries to but fails miserably and they’re ignoring it as if the attempt is the only thing that counts.

You know how you’re up there with the elites? It’s when Indians insert themselves as being a part of the category like it was given and everyone agrees. Like with hypersonic technology or space technology or drones or artificial intelligence were it’s all the talk, Indians would automatically place themselves in that category when they have nothing to really show for it. Have you seen the robot they’re showing off to say they’re up there…? There’s a guy holding up the robot by the hands on high while it’s “walking” because just by the looks it would not be standing up alone by itself if that wasn’t happening. You're far too concerned about what people say. China still has a lot of work to do and a lot of things to accomplish. The country's leadership cannot waste time on various grievances. Since Trump launched his trade war against China in 2016-2018, China has done remarkably little to retaliate and look where they are now. United States has spent nearly a full decade justifying its sanctions, strengthening international compliance, trying to find new ways to screw over China... all just to create an AI bubble and bankrupted farmers. Meanwhile, the Chinese economy has only grown, popped a cancerous real-estate bubble, built enduring a near complete tech-stack at home, took undisputed leadership in EVs, renewable energy, and drones.

Similarly, the European Union spends much time saying the right things and how "evil" everyone is, the virtues of European culture, and their humanitarian credentials. Meanwhile their living standards and global competitiveness has stagnated or fallen.

I am continually impressed by just how level-headed and patient China is. The reality is, they could've really hurt European industry for a few weeks/months just to make a point, but they chose the high road yet again.

What will happen to Nexperia's Dutch assets remains to be seen, I suspect China actually wants to see what the Dutch will do now that they've been given a bit of reprieve. What Netherlands will do next will probably determine whether China goes punitive or not.
