A Long March 7A has launched the Yaogan-46 remote sensing satellite into space, from the LC-201 pad at Wenchang. This was the only payload on board. The payload was, as usual, developed by CAST. It will be used for land resource surveys, crop yield estimations, and more. Notably, also, the satellite will not be placed in a low earth orbit, but above it, like the Yaogan-45 and 41, in geostationary orbit.

This was the 12th launch of the Long March 7A, 22nd launch in the Long March 7 series, and the 605th launch of the Long March series in general. This is also the 69th launch for China in 2025, which officially
breaks the all-time launch record for China in a single year. We have nearly two full months left of the year, and I think based on scheduling, we will see 80+ launches this year.
